Our last dinner in Siracusa and it was a lovely experience. The menu is extensive and hard to choose from - glad we were traveling with family so hot to try different dishes. Every dish was unique and yet had a distinct Sicilian flavor -...and everything was presented so well! My favorite dish was “Cavati” Homemade Pasta flan “alla Norma” with aubergines on Pachino Cherry Tomato sauce topped with crunchy basil. The atmosphere and environment was eclectic as well If you’re looking for fine dining or celebrating a special occasion this is the place!More

A lovely restaurant in the corner of piazza Duomo, outside dining. Food and wine delicious. Very relaxing and not at all pushy staff though we did have to ask for the bill three times!

We booked this from reading reviews where everyone spoke of the special experience. Ours was memorable for all the wrong reasons. The food was ok but the service was appalling. You could not order a wine glass without the sommelier attending your table which meant...that we had no wine for our starter or main. We were going to have dessert but could not have any more stress trying to attract waiters and the sommelier so we paid the bill and left and bought a lovely gelato next door.More

"Regina Lucia" is currently one of only six "Michelin Guide" recommended restaurants in Syracuse and it's in a prime location in Ortigia, with a prefect view of the nearby Cathedral. We had pre-booked an outside table on a very hot summer evening, but the interior...looked very elegant and ideal for formal dining. The service throughout was friendly, professional and timely. The formality extended to the outside tables and it was certainly an upmarket fine dining experience, albeit with prices to match. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters of large prawns and gnocchi (each priced at 22 Euros) before moving on to mains of black veal and fish ("ombrina") with thyme (priced at 28 and 24 Euros respectively). Desserts were delicious and the final bill (including water, wine and dessert wines, but excluding tip) was expensive at 196 Euros for 2, but worth it for a high quality formal dining experience in a beautiful location. Certainly recommended for a special occasion.More

Very good food ! Starters were great (octopus and tuna tartare) and pasta was delish (ravioli) and desserts were pretty good (peanut cream) The restaurant offers a stunning view on the Duomo and the place is pretty quiet surprisingly Service was ok but not fab....You are just a number. But in such a busy restaurant in this specific location that’s what we can expect. Fair enough Go for the food and view !!! Book ahead it is super busyMore

We treated ourselves to a special meal at this lovely restaurant in the stunning Piazza Duemo. It's a white table cloth place and not cheap but high on quality and service. An extensive (and expensive) wine list but there are quality affordable ones like the...Grillo at 40 euros. Our food was lovely especially our shared starter breaded king prawns. Two each and plenty. We had a lovely evening here. Kudt over 150 euros with wine.More

We had a very nice evening at this lovely restaurant, what a truly remarkable place this is, in this amazing city. The location, its surroundings, the details ... all 'spot on'! The food itself, they serve a very nice tasting menu, combined with a nice...wine pairing. The portions (also for the wine) are very good & generous even. From our trip, this restaurant surely holds a well-deserved second place on our list, with great food-flavor combinations, nice portions, very good staff, and a great ambiance! All-in-all, warmly recommended to visit. Be sure to make a reservation though!More

The location is as great as one could hope to find. Adding to that, the food and service are outstanding and we had a marvelous meal. You could stay as long as you wanted and that is a marvelous difference between restaurants in Europe and...the United States. Thank you for providing such a marvelous evening.More

We had a late booking which meant the restaurant was busy when we arrived but to be left for thirty minutes before a drinks order was taken was poor. Luckily the food once it arrived was excellent. Superb pasta dishes, excellent fish. A good wine...list and not stupidly pricey given the location. Well worth a visit.More

Dined here 9 years ago, and it was our favorite spot. Very pleased to be back. Top-notch cuisine, faultless service, and a setting truly worthy of a fine-dining experience. Besides, the walk through the Piazza del Duomo in the evening tops off the experience. Highly...recommend.More

My wife and I just returned from sampling Regina Lucia’s 6-course tasting menu with wine pairings. We expected a much better experience given this restaurant’s reputation. The courses were generally good with a couple of standout pasta dishes. The fish course was remarkably bland and...a disappointing last course. The unevenness of the experience was underscored by similarly uneven service. As the restaurant filled up it was clear that the restaurant was significantly understaffed. Some wine pairings arrived well after the dishes. The sommelier didn’t talk at all about why the pairing worked, instead only providing a rudimentary description of the wine. In addition, servers were unable to answer basic questions about each dish, leaving us guessing about seasonings, spices, and other facts that would have helped us understand the chef’s approach. Further impacting the experience was the fact that the wines - all whites or roses - were all served too cold, which negated the purpose and spirit of the pairing. The sommelier was opening bottles at the table, and despite our efforts to warm each wine to the right temperature, we were lucky if the last sip came close to the winemakers’ expression - or doing the food justice. Finally, it took more than 30 minutes to get the check as the overwhelmed staff struggled to keep up with other tables and forgot about us. Just not at all what we were hoping for.More

I was afraid when booking due to mixed review and tourist trap location. In fairness, they bug you to confirm booking and I suppose you may lose yours if you don't confirm. That said: - Excellent location - Elegant design - including comfortable lighting (not...always the case even in good restaurants) - Pleasant background music (hardly hearable) - Interesting menu - All home made food - tasty, good ingredients, good presentation - Attentive service - Relatively expensive but not an outlier If I have to complain about anything, they charged for the Limoncello - which a good Italian restaurant should never do. Anyway, highly recommendedMore

Good food and nice service. Was actualy expecting a higher level on both. Some of the starters were top notch. Both the main fish courses were a bit tasteless and uninspiered. Service under par but a lot of energy. Location is just butifull!
