Fantastic food and fantastic service. Very bold flavours executed perfectly. We came for New Year’s Day, and it was a wonderful way to start 2024.

How this place doesn’t have 17 Michelin stars by now is beyond me. WOW. What an incredible dining experience. I would mention every course on the tasting menu, but the most absolutely noteworthy course was the ravioli that just popped in your mouth. The ravioli...studied at Princeton and graduated summa cum laude and practices law in its spare time. Pure excellence. And it’s also worth mentioning the staff, so kind and attentive and they really augmented the dining experience. I’m serious when I say this: I WILL be back someday!!More
The best restaurant we visited in sicily! The staff were warm, friendly and super efficient. We opted for the tasting menu which they adjusted to my gluten free needs no problem and chose the wine pairing to accompany each course. Every course was exquisite. (Plus...amazing gluten free bread) The steak tartare with truffles was the best steak tartare I've ever had, phenomenal! And I'm still dreaming about the octopus and smoked potato. The wines were all fantastic, the best wine pairing we had during our time in sicily. I have certain expectations from a restaurant in the michelin guide and we did 4 during our time in Taormina, this one deserves a star and i want to hug the chef!More
We had an amazing experience at Vineria Modi! We had the tasting menu and everything was fabulous. The pasta was my favorite course! The service was excellent and the outdoor seating was perfect. I highly recommend!
We were very pleased with our visit to Vineria Modi. Great quality food with a high level of innovation. Affordable prices given the great food and wine experience. We would really enjoy to come back another time
service, impeccable. Atmosphere relaxing and we appreciated the placement of the tables- lots of space on them and between them. Prices extremely fair but most importantly, incredible food. Delicious, sexy, beautifully plated. Do try the pasta made with 30 yolks and lamb ragu. You’ll love...it and it will make you smile. Fantastic in every way.More
Eight friends from Vancouver, BC, Canada had the pleasure of visiting Taormina a few weeks ago. We are all big foodies so the idea of a special dinner out together had to be in our plans. We found Vineria Modi and decided this was the...place. Everything from the start to finish was perfect. The team was very responsive on line with all of our questions and sent our 5 course tasting menu in advance of our meal. The table was set up outside in a most magical setting and each course from start to finish was amazing. We worked our way through the VERY extensive wine list as well. If you are considering a special night out and are looking for exquisite cuisine while in Taormina, do not look any further than Vineria Modi. It was a Magical Memorable Moment for us all.More
Excellent service and food. Amazing flexible tasting menu. Chef is very talented. Very nice setting. Outstanding wine list. Paolo, the Somm, is great. Wines for every price point abd directs it well. Highly recommend.
One of the most amazing fine dining experiences ever! We enjoyed the six course chef tasting menu. Our entire party was delighted beyond expectation by the amazing food, presentation and service. Every course was tasty and beautiful. The wine pairings were spot on. The staff...professional, warm and welcoming. A la cart menu is also available, but our party of four agreed the chef’s tasting menu provided an amazing sampling of flavors and is not to be missed. I’ve had amazing dining experiences in NYC, and this was better than those. Make reservations.More
Great value for the price/location, we enjoyed the tasting menu! Features an impressive wine selection, with a focus on the Etna region.
This was our most special meal on our trip to Taormina. Vineria Modi is a high-end Michelin star restaurant. We decided on the prix fixe which they tailored to our dietary request. When they handed us the wine menu, I actually laughed out loud. It...was a comically massive book with an extensive collection. For being such an upscale restaurant, the servers were so friendly, funny and kind. No attitudes here. The tasting menu was so fun and reasonably priced given the amount of food.More
From the moment we were seated at our patio table when we were served our exquisite amuse bouches, we loved this restaurant. We were searching for a high end dining experience to celebrate the end of our vacation with friends and Vineria Modi was perfect!...Service was professional but friendly and knowledgeable. The wine list was varied and well priced. We received very good advice from the sommelier. The food was creative, authentic and well portioned. We ordered à la carte and did not go for the tasting menu. Each of us had a starter, we split a pasta dish between each couple and then each had a main course. We shared a lovely cheese platter and a delicious dessert. This restaurant is probably pricey for Taormina, but worth every single penny don’t miss it!More
We came early for dinner, 7:00 pm, so we were the only guests on the patio upon arrival. Only a few other guests trickled in before we completed our dinner. The host/sommelier was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The encyclopedic wine list, however, was unmanageable and...actually unnecessary. Regrettably, the other staff seemed so uninterested in their jobs that I thought I was in Paris. As I always do before ordering a "rack of lamb", I asked how many bones and was told four. (Only a Greek taverna would serve a full rack). A tiny two bone rack arrived. When questioned, the server said he woud check with the kitchen. Upon his return he said that he was told by the kitchen that it goes by weight and not the number of bones. So, why did he not know that before? The lamb was cooked perfectly. The highlight of the meal was the gnocchi. Suberb presentation and taste. I would return just for that. In fact, I will give it another chance. Perhaps they will develop a functional wine list and keep the other one as a master list to be offered to guests separately.More
Fabulous experience with tasting menu! We went for our first wedding anniversary, and our parents called in advance to buy us a bottle of champagne. Restaurant went above and beyond and went on to play our wedding song on the restaurant speakers while bringing out...our final dessert course. They were so lovely and helped us feel so special. Great food, wonderful staff and a night to remember!!More
Sublime food & wine served by super professional staff in a lovely quiet setting away from the hustle & bustle of the Corso. One of Taormina's finest restaurants.
