Food was fabulous, service was excellent. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Florence. We are from NYC area and have high standards for food and service, this restaurant measured up. Understated atmosphere in casual environment. Excellent wine.

I booked a table for dinner after reading trip advisor reviews . We seemed to be the only tourists in the restaurant and the other tables were taken by what seemed to be regulars. Lovely traditional food and wine in a very relaxed atmosphere with space between the tables. Very good value and service from a lovely family style restaurant.

But if you want excellent home cooked traditional Italian dishes in a family run restaurant with high but not overly attentive service levels and are prepared to ignore the fact that you are in what looks like a 1970’s time warp restaurant, then I can fully recommend eating here. As many others have said the décor on entering is a... More

We came upon this restaurant and it is run by 3 brothers and the son. This is a place where locals eat. The food is very good and the young man helping us was very nice.

We had lunch after visiting the Accademia and we had a simple but tasty food, good Ignudi and saporite chicken breast. The red house wine we took was not good as you might expect being in Tuscany, even For a cheap house wine :)

As other reviewers have said, the decor is a blast from the past and with it being brightly lit, I thought at first this wasn't a very romantic/atmospheric place for our last evening in Florence. However relax into it - it soon filled up with happy diners and was popular with locals. Our expectation was that it would be worth... More

We made a reservation here mainly because it was close to our apartment and the reviews were so good. And we had a fabulous dinner here. The food and the service were top notch. I will agree somewhat with those who wrote in reviews that the atmosphere is bleak. They definitely could do some things with lighting to make it... More

Don't be put off by the 1970's decor, the food is fantastic. Traditional, well cooked Italian food. We had an amazing three hour lunch here. The staff (family) are really friendly and helpful. Everything we ate, we loved. I recommend the sole - delicious! Reasonably priced and very enjoyable.

We were 4 adults and 2 children who dined at this restaurant last night. I LOVED everything about this place. Food was excellent (pasta con sarde was super!) ranging from meat to seafood. Their house wine is really one of the best house wines I have ever had in Florence. Service was straightforward and quick. Price was right for the... More

If you are looking for some real Florentine down home cooking, this is the place to have that hearty bowl of mama's ribollita, and some mouthwatering peposo. Or if you are feeling a bit adventurous why not try one of the unusual, but delish and nutritious offal/organ meats they offer. The family-run restaurant seems to have long history and the... More
