Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Highly recommended by locals, a great restaurant for Tuscan food. Be prepared to pay a bit more for the excellent service and food and drink all of which was outstanding. Each course was superb from the Osso Buco to the pasta and the beautiful semi...soft biscotti.More

Four of us followed another friend's recommendation and were texting our thank you's back even before our meal was finished. Great food, great service and terrific ambience. Our friends split a sirloin steak that they devoured, my wife had a cod dish and I had...a veal scallopini suggested by our waiter as the best of the 3 veal entrees on the menu. I had a pasta with meat sauce app, while the others had either an artichoke salad or a caprese... Between the apps and the entrees, they deliverd a small bowl of a heary vegetable soup for us all with their compliments!! everything was wonderful. We were too full to order deserts but they brought us over pre-packed biscottis to take home and it took us a while to convince them to not bring over a complimentary lemoncello!! centrally located... not overly expensive considering the quality and experience.More

So good was this meal that I'm writing the review at the table, sipping my last bit of grappa, compliments at the house. I don't think that the excellent service, superb meal, and overall great vibe has anything to do with the expectation of me...writing a great review! To be specific, we shared the smoked duck as an appetizer, the pasta with truffle sauce (killer!), and a pistachio encrusted tuna to die for. Still waiting for the bill as our server just brought a bit of sorbet and an almond biscotti. And some limoncello for my wife. Oh, and the guy we were chatting with just dropped to his knee and proposed. All this for $129 Euro?!?. This is why you come to Italy!More

Wonderful restaurant! The food and wine was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was filled with people but still quaint. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection!

We went to this restaurant as it was recommended on the internet. The service was great, waiters were very friendly. The place is beautiful but extremely warm, Even tho they had one air conditioner, it was not enough for the big main area. Food is...okay, we ordered bistecca alla fiorentina, Nothing out of this world, not bad either. Definitely not worth it the price. We loved the granita and the biscotto.More

By far our best culinary experience in Italy on this family holiday. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, supplying us with complementary sorbet, biscuits and fried bread. The food was amazing and we kept having more, racking up quite a bill, but it was...all worth it with their pricing. The restaurant is in the heart of Florence and has a good interior. It is a real hit so I’d advise booking. Would 100% recommend and will be back if we return to Florence.More

We randomly found this place while searching for Bistecca alla Fiorentina on google. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Firenze! The bistecca was amazing and the staff were really attentive, even though the place was packed. We did not expect to get so...many amazing things on the house, such as the traditional tomato soup, the fried bread and of course limoncello and grappa at the end. This place exceeded my expectations and I will definitely come here again!More

Traditional restaurant in the historic center, near the river Arno. Very busy but service was efficient. The "antipasti" were interesting, kind of fancy, very good. I was less enthusiastic about my main, pici (kind of spaghetti) with black cabbage and sausage, they were quite commonplace....Not cheap. Altogether it was not an entirely positive experience.More

We came here after seeing a recommendation on a YouTube travel video featuring the best places to eat in Florence. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing, including some traditional authentic pasta dishes and the service was outstanding. We didn’t book and went around...7.15pm but it became busy quickly with most tables reserved and people waiting outside. We had duck ragu Papadelle and the sausage and kale Pici which was so full of flavour.More

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend who grew up in Florence and it did not disappoint! The staff were so kind and attentive. The food menu is similar to what you'll find at other restaurants in Florence but the quality is top notch...versus the mostly touristy places you find around town that offer just average food. I loved it so much here I went two nights! An example of how accommodating the staff were I accidentally ordered a special appetizer thinking it was a main dish. They let me know and offered to make it larger for me so I could have it as an entre since I was excited about the dish. The place is excellent without feeling stuffy. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Florence!More

I do not know when it is served. It has not always been on the menu when we have been there, mostly I recall in the spring. The last times in September and December it was on the menu.
