Fabio Picchi is the mastermind chef behind his neighborhood empire. Cibreo's name comes from a medieval style of cooking. There are no reservations and its communal sitting. The first about this cooking or their cooking is it is FRESH home style cooking. The first thing I...More

Only a few choices for each course, maybe half a dozen, with no choice of side dishes - described by the waiter as the chefs surprise. I had stuffed rabbit with a braised cauliflower side dish, my husband had chicken and ricotta meat balls with...More

It is a very nice and cozy trattoria. I discovered it by accident with my wife. We enjoyed a very nice dinner with typical tastes that we loved. The house wine was excellent. It is a value to pay trattoria. For the Greeks, there is...More

What an enjoyable evening! Interesting menu - modernized takes on Tuscan classics. House wine was an excellent, versatile rosato, served slightly chilled, that paired beautifully with the veal and poultry heavy menu. Dining room was lively, servers friendly and accommodating. We ordered multiple courses, and...More

Although my wife and I really enjoyed what we had, steamed fish and roast beef in a green sauce, the portions were microscopic and the prices were anything but. We shared a table with another two diners we didn’t know and the setting was rustic...More

Each meat dish was like pate' and another couple were served a whole rooster head! 😱. The flavours were bland and each dish was so sloppy. I had to go back to the hotel and eat some fruit from the supermarket to settle my stomach....More

My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch on a cooler rainy day. We got a starter to share each a soup and split the meatballs. All was delicious and they were kind enough to split the meatballs for us with it is asking. Add...More

We went expecting to be in typical Italian trattoria but the very nice waiters quickly made clear that they are a "peculiar" trattoria. They don't have pasta!!! I could not understand it immediately but when we started to have our dinner I understood and agreed....More

Other reviews have said it but do not confuse the Trattoria with the Restaurant or the Caffe of the same name on the same street. The Trattoria has a small menu which often changes and is supplemented by a few specials. This is the sort...More

Overpriced, they don't have a menu and neither pasta. A lady will come and tell the recommendation of what you can eat. In my opinion was less food and very expensive. Is good for a romantic dinner, with a glass of wine and don't go...More

I do not believe so
We had a wonderful dinner here. Excellent service and the food was outstanding we enjoyed talking to the people who work there. However, at the end of the meal we were presented with a bill that only had a total number on it there was no itemized list of what we had ordered and no indication of whether the service charges already been included. We asked someone if the service charge was included, and they said yes. So we left. I was afraid we got some untoward looks as we left, and later we wondered whether we should've left some additional tip in addition to the service charge that was on the bill that we couldn't see. We felt a little guilty, and in retrospect believe maybe we should've left some additional money on the table in addition to the service charge? How much would be customary at anime restaurant in Florence if service charge is included?

It isn't customary to leave a tip in Italy as service is included. Many North Americans make the mistake so perhaps the person expected it but you may also have misinterpreted the look or even projected the feeling. It took... More
