Booked in advance and expected a brilliant traditional Tuscan dinner. Restaurant frenetic. Seated on a small wonky table next to other diners. House wine cheap but watered down. Biggest disappointment was the food. Antipasti of cold meats was poor and bruschetta was laughable. Second course...More

Read a lot of reviews about this restaurant and were recommended by friends who had visited Florence. The food and service exceeded our already high expectations. Very clean and modern, fantastic food. I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten and my partner...More

We have been coming to Florence for several weeks each year during the late summer. We go to many restaurants and I place La Casalinga at the top. Being there for an extended time, we don’t want absurd fancy restaurants. La Casalinga is dignified and...More

La Casalinga does not look very exciting from outside but the food is excellent, the waiting staff are helpful and friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. What more can you want? This restaurant is extremely popular, so it's worth making a reservation. The roast...More

We came across this restaurant quite by accident. How lucky we were! The food and the service were excellent. The waiter spoke very good English and was very helpful at translating any aspect of the menu. If we had been in Florence for a longer...More

Near to Santa Spirito square and very popular. Book ahead for a table. Very good food, fresh pasta and five star service in this family run restaurant. Many choices on the menu. And very reasonable prices.

This little place is the authentic trattoria. It doesn't look like much from the front but there are several back rooms for seating. If you are a beef person, the Florentine TBone is a must. My husband and son split an enormous steak and loved....More

We loved this place, but the menu was entirely in Italian which made it a bit of a struggle for us. The food was delicious.... prosciutto that melts in your mouth and yummy pastas. Be prepared to ask a lot of questions to the waiter...More

Santo Spirito / San Frediano
A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great
company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo
Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour.
Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the
staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and
they cannot help but stare at the architectural
masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello
Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria
