Please do not be afraid of the first view. It is a classic restaurant in Florence. I really recommended to visit Osteria Pepo. My favorite choice was Steak Florentino.

After arriving from Rome we decided to grab a late lunch. We walked around a bit checking out several menus at various restaurants. Osterio Pepo's menu offered specials of the day and we decided to try some. We had the meatballs with pasta, the ravioli of the day and the tripe. Needless to say, nothing was left on our plates... Linen tablecloths and serviettes. That usually says expensive as do the cotton towels in the bathrooms, But it's no more expensive than the place next door where they queue up to eat on shared tables. The only people speaking Italian were the waiting staff which would also normally ring an alarm but no, the food was excellent as was kitschy... More

Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered ravioli of the day and risotto of the day, both of which were superb.

Pepo was a wonderful experience in Florence that was recommended by our hotel. It is a small trattoria in the San Lorenzo area that fills up quickly. The grilled steak was expertly prepared and the osso bucco was one of the best I have tried. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Prices were very reasonable considering the high quality of... Nice place with basic menu. There's no a wide offer but what we tried was tasty. We shared a plate of gnocchi and a mixed plate of ham, cheese and foie. It was our cheapest lunch in our Italy trip. No complaints.

You may need to make a reservation. We eat early and got one of the few tables without reservation tag on it. The place filled up quickly after 7:30. Cloth table covering and great house wines at a reasonable price but there are other better and expensive bottles. This a place townies eat. It is in the piazza off the... More

Yet again we have enjoyed eating in Osteria Pepo. The atmosphere is great, service friendly and food tasty. What more do you need? We ate there 4 times during our stay in Florence and were not disappointed . The food is excellent and good value . They even treated us to a glass of prosecco . It is a traditional... More

We decided to go here for lunch as it had good reviews. When we got there we were a bit doubtful though because there was just one other couple in there but 30 minutes later the place was full. Lovely lunch beautifully cooked and nice and hot. We chose pork fillet with a balsamic glaze which was tender and sweet... More
