Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was brought here by a local and low and behold, it was almost all locals in here. A few were eating alone, grabbing a quick lunch just going about day to day life which really made it seem authentic. Or maybe I'm just making...that up in my head, idk. I'm a romantic. House wine was fantastic and at 2 euros a pop, you're essentially losing money not pulling that trigger. That Penne pasta really hit! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__More

We looked for a lunch spot near the Central Market and stumbled across Trattoria Palle d'Oro dal 1860. We loved the quality and portions for such amazing prices! Service was great as well. Would definitely come back.More

Wonderful pasta con ragu and very intensive riboletta in the course of a Florence food tour with decent and tasty house wine. You can see and feel the history of the traditional trattoria there which is frequented by locals for a tasty and inexpensive meal....Recommended!More

This day we had a food tour booked. This restaurant was the choice of our guide for lunch. We had great noodles (Pasta con Ragou) and a soup dish called Riboletta.

I really liked this restaurant! It was recommended to us by a chef who used to work in Florence and it was a good recommendation! I was going to order meatballs, but as we came late in the day, they were unfortunately out of them,...but they kindly brought us a plate of what was left, which we enjoyed! I ended up having a type of pasta, which was still delicious! Our waiter was very kind, helpful, cordial and welcoming. We had been exploring Florence and we had just come back from the art museum Uffitzi, so it was a great place to stop and take a break for lunch. I would definitely like to eat there again!More

This place was recommended by friends (a former chef in Florence to be exact) and it delivered. Definitely a hotspot, but it was worth the wait. There are a lot of options in the area, but this one reigns supreme. I had “Sausage and Beans”...which was incredible. We had great lunch, and the restaurant lived up to it’s name.More

Great local hole in the wall close to the attractions. Do yourself a favor and dine here. I went there for lunch, looking for an authentic salsicce e fagiola (Tuscan sausage and beans), and Palle D’Oro delivered! The trattoria had a lunch counter bar where...solo Italian men bellied up for lunch. Since I was a solo traveling man, I fit right in, but the ladies would enjoy this joint as well. I had a tasty, cold draft beer with lunch. Great price for a hearty meal. I might return for dinner tonight before departing Florence. It’s that good. Delizioso!More

Definitely a favourite of the florentines. When we walked into Palle d’Oro it felt a privileged experience to be in a hidden gem such as this. The food was Tuscan to the bones and we enjoyed all the typical dishes. Truffle buratta to start, zuppa...al pomodoro for primo and sausage with beans for secondo. The food was excellent and was a statement of the unique florentine cuisine. We were treated like locals in a place we certainly weren’t. An amazing lunch and an amazing restaurant.More

A staff at my hotel recommended this place. Foods are decent with a reasonable price. Staffs are very friendly. One thing I noticed is that most people dining there are not English-speaking, so I guess this restaurant is more geared toward the locals. This is...also evident from the fact that the staffs’ English are just barely understandable, but they more than made up for it with their friendliness. Overall it was a great experience for me.More

Typical and genuine Florence restaurant, recommended by guy working on Central market. Try something different. Maybe trippa, fagioli or zucchini flowers and skip on bistecca.

Good local place with a reasonably wide selection for decent prices. I highly recommend the peposo dell’impruneta - A tough meat that’s been softened by being cooked for hours in a lovely sauce. It may not be photogenic, so don’t expect to see it on...Instagram, but it’s definitely tasty. The waiter was actually noticeably happy I ordered it. Was recommended this place and specific dish by a friend and I don’t regret my choice at all. Lovely staff too.More

We had limited time to eat in Florence and wanted authentic flavor. The menu was in Italian, with no English. We were the only tourist in the place. Our food came out in what seemed like 5 minutes and was very fresh and good. I...had spaghetti with shrimp and asparagus and could not complain. The waiter was able to explain everything in English and the 6 of us had a delicious, quick, and filling lunchMore
