My husband and I have just had one of the best dining experiences. We have lingered lovingly through 4 courses of octopus tagliatelle eggplant Osso bucolic lamb racks pear and dark choc and as my husband suggests the best crime brûlée ever and that's after Paris last week. Please get to this elegant and refined place of dining ASAP must... More

We arrived late - 2:15pm - with no reservation. The lovely maitre d' , Francesco Carzoli, made us welcome and explained the kitchen was closing soon but was very hospitable about it. We quickly ordered spaghetti and lamb and grilled vegetables. The list of mainly Tuscan wines was broad, with many 'al calice' by the glass which means we could... More

It's virtually impossible to convey the atmosphere of this restaurant that feels almost lost in time. The walls have a trompe - l'oeil lacery of red curtains that is outstanding in it's design. The rabbit pasta was supremely rabbity. The octopus, delicate. The osso bucco meltingly tender in a sea of pureed potato. This is one place that everyone should... More

My traveling colleague and I stopped by Dei Frescobaldi to have dinner our last evening in Florence. What a delight!! We both ordered the truffled steak, which was spectacular, and shared a salad. The staff member/manager Francesco recommended wines for us based on our tastes---and again, spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance, wine, and visit. I'll be returning when... More

This restaurant is outstanding. They are known for their dry aged steak served rare. I never order rare steak but was told this is the way to eat this steak. It was tender, with lots of flavor and no blood on the plate. One if the best steaks I have ever had. Everything was great, a wonderful evening.

While spending a day in Florence friends took me to this wonderful restaurant. Great service, food and wine. I had a pasta with rabbit and olives that was superb. Some else had rack of lamb that was fabulous also. Beautiful town and a great place to stop for lunch or dinner.

Although I reserved a same-day table on The Fork, the restaurant did not have our reservation and scolded us for trying to book it that day. But, we were seated promptly in the bar. At first, this was a bit annoying, as we sat alone and there were empty tables in the restaurant. But it was a busy holiday weekend... More
