Went there with some friends working in city. It's a "warm" place and staff is very nice and colorful. Dishes are nice and tasty. Definitely suggested!

We went here because it was recommended in the Rick Steve's book and because it was close to our hotel. We walked in on our way by and met Bobo, the owner. We liked him right away (he is very gregarious) so we made a reservation to come back a couple of hours later for dinner. We were not disappointed.... More

This place was so good we went back the next night! The staff is great, lively, and truly want you to enjoy your experience! Btw, all... More

Loved this place! I was traveling by myself, and the staff made me feel very comfortable, even calling me out by name when showing me to my table. I had the Osso Bucco, which was delicious. The house wine was very quaffable. And when I went to leave, the staff wouldn't let me go until I enjoyed a limoncello with... More

We ate here based on Rick Steves reviews and it totally met our expectations! The waiters were witty and we enjoyed the atmosphere. My boyfriend ordered the steak and he said it was the best steak he's ever had! I shared the appetizer plates with my parents, where they constantly bring you new plates of appetizers to eat and it... More

Food is excellent! Service even better as the staff are very lively. Cappucino is way overpriced! LOL. I could eat here every night and the chianti is really good as well.

At the end of a very long first day in Italy, my husband and I visited da Tito based on a recommendation from a local tour guide. The food was incredible and the staff so much fun! I had an asparagus dish and steak that were memorable. Also had my first sample of Limoncello. We both look forward to a... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
