Unfortunately we only found Il Desco on our last evening in Florence - we would have liked to have eaten there more than once. As far as we could tell we were the only diners on their first visit which is itself indicative of just...More

We loved Il Desco! Initially, we just stopped by because our hotel (Il Guelfo Bianco) gave us a coupon for a "welcome drink." The restaurant is very small, maybe six tables, and the atmosphere is very nice. We were so comfortable that our welcome drink...More

We arrived early on a Saturday evening with no reservation. Even though the restaurant was absolutely empty, we told the they were completely booked. We were given the option to eat outside on their patio or the corridor. We chose inside because some people were...More

Best dinner restaurant I tried in Florence. I had a beef tartare as main course and it was absolutely delicious! Not typically Italian, but food made with passion and love. Highly recommend this restaurant, and try the cheesecake for dessert you will not be disappointed!

We arrived on a busy night and despite having only one wait staff, we were well looked after. Took a while for the food to arrive but it didn't feel like that at all. The atmosphere was buzzing and the lively ambience just made you...More

This was a fantastic meal. The place is small and everyone is very nice. I am happy TripAdvisor led us here. I would eat here again and again. I had to convince my husband to find another place to try for dinner on our second...More

It's a cozy little restaurant. Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food and value for money. Would highly recommend it. They also have great vegetarian options.

After a heavy lunch, dinner at il Desco was just what we needed. The fresh ingredients in all the dishes came through in the flavours. If you think healthy eating is bland and boring, this will make you rethink. We had the spelt soup, cheese...More

After several days of eating - and enjoying - fairly meat-heavy meals elsewhere in Tuscany, it was a pleasure to find something a bit lighter at Il Desco. Food isn't all vegetarian, but there is more emphasis on fresh, organic veg. We ate here twice...More

Il Desco was next to our hotel, and we decided to give it a go one night. What a treat! It's tiny, but you are made to feel very welcome and the service is incredible. I had the rabbit with seasonal vegetables, and my husband...More

Description
We are located in the historic center of Florence, between Piazza del Duomo and San Marco and we offer a simple and tasty cuisine, made with the freshest ingredients of the highest quality. We owned a small farm in Reggello that provides us vegetables, fruit and extra virgin olive oil certified organic by ICEA. For this reason our menu is seasonal and changes every three months according to the production of the garden. The focus is on offer vegetarian dishes and great attention is paid to the Gluten Free offer, almost everything on the menu is suitable for people with celiac disease! Limited offer of meat, but always available in most traditional recipes:)
