A Range of pizzas and foccaccias. We eat for 15 € for six persons. We chose our pizzas and eat outside in the gardens near the university.

Didn' t have any pizza (it isnt really a pizza place ) but tried the foccacia, various flavors - fresh and tasty. Take a ticket wait until your number comes up then order. You are asked for size then it is weighed and billing printed. Excellent customer service, sit in the park and enjoy.

Just around the corner from the Accademia and in a nice piazza opposite the Museum of San Marco (although some building work in the piazza spoiled the view somewhat). Little place with lovely freshly baked pizzas and tarts. Select the size of pizza you want and get a drink (beer/soft drinks) from the fridge. Reasonable prices (12 euros for 2... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this place for a quick bite before visiting the Accademia. It was actually the best pizza we had in Italy! It was also a great value! 6 Euro for two of us. This place is not fancy. There are only a few seats. They sell the pizza by weight so you can try different kinds. It... More

We chose this place based on Rick Steve's recommendation. It was the worst pizza that we had in Italy. There are so many better places in Florence. We were a family of six, and we all agreed that it was bad. Don't waste your time or appetite.

Delicious pizza! Small and cosy place for a quick lunch. No air condition. No tables, only bar. If you're a hungry gourmet, this is the place!

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
