Just find it and try it, the taste, the history, the atmosphere, it's Florence. Wonderful best tripe sandwich I ever have had.

Street food serving traditional beef tripe burger. a little too much salt to my liking but thats the way Italian eat. Its up to individual whether to try or not but this stall is popular with locals.

It was somewhat serendipitous that I ended up at Sergio Pollini while searching for a place to have lampredotto (all the other places were closed!). I am actually glad to have made the walk as I was greeted by welcoming smiles while I sat "dining" on the streets of Firenze. Most importantly, the lampredotto was very filling and flavorful. Definitely... More

As far as street food goes, this one takes the Florentine cake. Located near the Basilica of Santa Croce, they serve a fast and delicious sandwich for €3.50. Definitely should try it if you're the more adventurous type.

After learning about lampredotto sandwiches on PBS, I sought out this street vendor while visiting Florence to scratch off a bucket list item. There was lively customer action at the food stand, both from locals and tourists. I ordered a lampredotto sandwich and a glass of red wine, and opted to forego the green sauce. The guy making the sandwiches... More

Too bad a lot of people will not try Tripe. This food truck may well change their opinion. We had it with Salsa Verde. Inexpensive, good snack or quick lunch.

I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Florence again! Worth a try even if you are a bit dubious about eating cows intestines and what not! I had tried another place before this but this was made very well and a lot more spice and flavour. I had a nice time chatting with the guy who... More

OK so tripe is probably not at the top of everyone's list of things to try. But it's very popular in Florence, and it actually tastes great. I had the panino (sandwich) with tripe, hot sauce, and parsley, and it was delicious and filling. I also had a small glass of wine and a bottle of water, and the total... More

Get your must-have-while-in-Florence lampredotto sandwich seasoned with salt, pepper, green sauce and red sauce (harissa) and a side helping of personality from the vendors. Be amazed at the two handed slicing of lampredotto. Take a cup of red wine for a euro and eat everything on the steps of the adjoining church for a true Florentine experience, just 4.5 euros.
