Without a doubt the worst meal I had in the one month We spent in Florence, and at a cost approaching 200 Euros. The restuarant uses old movie theatre seats at some of it's tables. They are uncomfortable and too low for the tables. I ordered soup, more on that later, and I felt like a child trying to eat... More

We dined here on our first night in Florence and our meal was interesting, to say the least. The menu is fixed price by course and a very nice lady came to the table to describe the choices to us. No written menu! They say you "eat with you eyes" and I would suggest that seeing the selections and the... More

I first discovered this place (the trattoria and caffe) in 2005 when on a weekend visit, having first moved to Rome. Since then, I have brought several people here to eat and though there are marvelous places to eat all over Florence, this is the only place in all of Italy where not one but MULTIPLE people have eaten the... After reading some scathing reviews here I approached with trepidation. The restaurant is warm and friendly. The lack of a printed menu is a little annoying but the oral presentation was charming and friendly. All 12 courses served at my table were excellent. The wine list had many very good wines in the 35-45 Euro range. And the bill for... More

Expensive but worth it. We had a small child with us and we never felt that we were unwelcome. The food is delicious.

Good food and very attentive staff. And they do speak good English for a change. However, it is overpriced.

A few years ago I lived near this restaurant and always wanted to visit, but never had the opportunity. So, I was really pleased when I recently had the chance to dine here. Well, it was the worth the wait. Simply wow!!! The food, wine, hospitality and everything else here are outstanding. So much so, whilst visiting another restaurant in... More

Decor from the 1950's. Please write your menu, not hard to do, a verbal list cannot be remembered, we came to enjoy not to feel back at school. Food 4 out of ten and to many extras that were not wanted. Wine waiter very good. Would only return for the wine.
