Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good restaurant, authentic italian food. You can recognise the italian flavours. We asked Melanzane alla parmigiana, braciola griglia, rissoto funghi porcini and for dessert tiramisu.

The food here is just superb! My 1st experience I enjoyed an Aperol Spritz which came with a most delicious bruschetta. What made the bruschetta so good (it's such a simple dish) was the quality of the bread, the tomatoes (oh my, the tomatoes had...so much flavor!) and the olive oil (superb!). At the suggestion of my waiter (excellent English, by the way), I ordered Penne Nerone and a side mixed salad, which would easily serve 2 people). Delicious! Today, after a Tuscany wine tour, I returned to try Florentine steak. The smallest portion was too much but I brought the leftovers to my hotel which has a microwave. The steak was perfectly prepared and very delicious. I ordered roasted potatoes to accompany the steak. I didn't finish my food because I wanted to try their tiramisu. Again, excellent! Prices here are very reasonable, but after spending a week in Venice, I think food is overall less expensive here in Florence. Nerone isn't smack dab in the middle of the high tourist area, but it is 2 blocks from the rail station. Three different dining locations are available: on the street, a private back garden that's very attractive, and a dimly lit and air conditioned interior. I chose the last option both times I ate here. It's very warm outside right now in Florence. I encourage you to eat here!More

Lovely decor and ambience, great little leafy shady garden out the back, ask to sit there rather than the tables out the front! Serving staff could have been a bit friendlier. Pizza was good but not the best we've had in Italy.

My wife and I had a fabulous meal at this beautiful restaurant. Each of us had a pasta dish, shared a mixed salad and a half liter of wine. Very enjoyable with excellent service. Will definitely return during our 6 day stay.

Nice atmosphere at this trattoria - I just wish the staff would smile more. We had the small steaks and pasta - all good, and the house wine which was tasty and great value.

Beautiful old trattoria, but waiter tried to rush the tourists, even getting and showing his irritation to another table. We ordered bottle of Pinot Grigio €20 and the grilled lamb €19- which was very good, but the Tripe at €8 was very bland. Upon leaving...we mentioned to the owner that the chef was handling raw Salmon and cheese with his bare hands and cleaning the knife with is bare hands. He started shouting at us that "this is Italy and he has doctor's certificate". Wow, what a way to treat patrons. Sorry, won't return.More

Stopped in as the place looked very interesting, loved the decor, staff was ok not super friendly, service was ok not very fast but that’s ok, food was bland, not much flavour to the lasagna or risotto, have had better pizza too.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the owner's demeanor was unwelcoming and rude. This behavior set the tone for the rest of the evening. Unfortunately, the low quality of the food only added to my disappointment. I...found the dishes to be lacking in flavor and overall quality. It's a shame that I wasn't able to enjoy my meal and have a positive dining experience. We didnt finish oir food or vine. We payed our bill and as we walked out the owner said to us " Bravo, bravo, bravo bravo " as he was angry that we didnt finish our food. ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS PLACE.More

Special inside and several menu options, but they were just waiting for clients. A lot of staff, but just a few clients at 19:00 on Thu. They do have everything on their list. I tried pizza, but I think that it wasn't home maked. Prices...are reasonable and place is interesting. I hope my best for them!More

Nice old restaurant near the Central market. They serve the cheapest fiorentina in the city (40 Euro/kg). Delicious trippa and pepata. Staff are very nice and kind.
