Friends booked this place for us during our one day visit to Florence, the place is unreal: food, wine, interior - everything is amazing. Make sure to check out their restrooms!

If you like meat and you find yourself in Florence, come here! Absolutely! We came with a group of 8 friends and obviously we tried the fiorentina (which was delicious) but also a lot of other things like their pasta dishes and different starters. There's something for everyone though it might be a little tough I'd you're vegetarian/vegan. If you... More

Honestly, we did not recognize a lot of things on the menu but our waiter was very nice and made suggestions. We were not disappointed. The meal was meat overload but so glad we had this experience. Bottom line - go with the flow, be adventurous, and try many dishes. The white bean soup with thick chunks of pork was... More

We saw this restaurant on the travel channel. Everyone knows about this great restaurant. The hotel told us this place is great, the cab driver waited for us on a early December week day because we did not have a reservation, he new this restaurant is great. I was recommended this restaurant, by an Italian friend who suggested that this was a great place to try the 'Fiorentina' T-bone steak. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and we were greeted by a colossus of a man who spoke very good English and was highly entertaining as well as being very helpful when he was serving and taking... It is literally a meat-lover's paradise. Everything is awesome but if you go away without tasting the Fiorentina T-bone steak you miss out, big time!

We've had real good bistecca at Perseus. One thing to know is that for two persons, the minimum size is 1,2kg (those who eat 80g per meal, beware) and costs 50€, without the side dishes (potatoes, salad, beans...). Otherwise, it was good meat, rare in the inside, grilled on the outside. And the staff was very friendly and efficient. It... More

An Italian colleague recommended to me Perseus in Florence during a family visit. My wife, daughter and I visited for Dinner. The palce is really nice, with the feel of a traditional restaurant. The staff was really friendly and spoke good English. We had the house wine which was decent and not expensive, and a chicken for my daughter which... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
