This little sub shop came highly recommended from a student who spent time in Florence. The owners were very friendly, and the subs were delicious! I enjoyed the spicy meatball sub, and my wife had the chicken parm panini. The bread was fresh, and toasted perfectly! Very reasonably priced, and would recommend stopping by for a quick bite!

We were doing our laundry in a little laundromat near Hotel Monna Lisa, and walked across the street to check out the small shop that said "Best Sandwiches in Florence!" It's a pretty remarkable claim to make in a city that has some of the best sandwiches in the whole world, but it turned out to be true! We were... More

I studied abroad here in Florence back in 2010, when I ate one of these sandwiches every week (or more...) Recently returned to Florence for a family vacation and had to come here. The sandwiches are fresh, delicious, and have quality ingredients. Its also the best coffee I've ever had. HIGHLY recommend stopping in here, but make sure you come... More

One of the single best paninis I have ever had. Asked the owner to make me something delicious, following a friend's recommendation and he made me the most incredible sandwich filled with freshly sliced meat, soft Brie like cheese, truffles spread on the bread, marinated veggies, fresh arugula, and a fried egg! It was heavenly and only 4€! The quality... More

Here you can chose from a huge variety of delicious sandwiches. There are vegan and vegetarian options as well. You have to wait for a while until they're finished (they're freshly made), but it's definitely worth the wait. The small room might not always offer enough seats to sit (as it is a popular place), but you can take your... More

This is an awesome place to stop for lunch. American style sandwiches are great. Chicken Parm is amazing. It can get pretty crowded, but still quick.

This place has a menu with 20+ paninis and other things including fries, burgers, and subs. It takes a while to receive your food, but each dish is served fresh so it is well worth the wait. Their iced coffees and smoothies are a must! So far, best iced coffee I've had in all of Florence.

Good for sandwiches, gets busy, but if you're patient the food is worth it. The people are really nice too! Try the iced coffee too, thought it was really delicious

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
