This place caught my eye as I walked up towards the Leaning Tower. After my visit, I wandered back the way I came and decided I would get a table here. The friendly staff are multi-lingual - one guy spoke fluent French, fluent English, Italian of course and probably more. I gathered it is a family owned and run place.... More

I ordered a Coke and I told the guy at the register I wanted a Coke, but he mistook me for an English speaking tourist (he probably mistook "Coca" for "Coke") and the amount was €3,50. I confirmed in Italian "Si, prendo la coca" and the amount went down to €2,50. If you don't speak Italian, DO NOT GO THERE!... More

This is near the main tourist attractions. The waiters aggressively pursue foreigners. The food was ok but the prices were 2-3x too expensive (e.g., 2.5 euros) for a standard bottled water that's .10 at costco. The lunch of 2 items was 24 euros. Food quality was ok. A full course dinner at S. Omobon Trattoria on the other had was... More

Il Canguro means The Kangaroo is about 5 minutes walk from the Square of Miracles (Piazza dei Miracoli). They do paninis, primis, pizzas, pastas, burgers and sandwiches. The poster on the front said Fast Food! I did not spot any kangaroo meat though! My lunch was a plate of Spaghetti al pomodoro and a shot of Segafredo esperesso. They even... More

Walked a little way from the leaning tower to find a reasonably priced restaurant with street atmosphere. Well pleased with our choice. Ordered chips with our burger but really didn't need them as the burger was huge. Lovely local beer as well. Would recommend.

We had a caprese salads and bruschetta. All lovely and served by very friendly staff. It is a small place but they have plenty of staff to look after you. You can get sandwiches and desserts also and of course good value wines. There is something special about eating your tomato and mozzarella sitting in the Italian sun with a... More

Situated opposite our hotel. Wide variety of foods/beers/soft drinks/wines. Get your sandwiches here and take to Piazza Miracoli with a soft drink (don't think you would be able to take a beer!) and sit on the grass (where possible!) and watch the world go by.

Only a block or two from tower stopped here for dinner. This is a small place with sidewalk cafe seating. Had a great waiter who spoke some English. Had five in our group. Service was great. We had Pizza, pasta, and lasagna. They were all great. Lasagna was especially good. Great evening, great food at a great location. Really enjoyed... More

Food was great and nice and close to the tower of Pisa. Not overpriced considering location. Simona the waitress was very kind and attentive. She also offered great advice on areas we could explore after our meal. My panino was delicious! Recommended!!
