If you have the chance to eat at Al Baccanale jump at it. We enjoyed the mixed meat and fish tasting menu with wine, both food and drink were exceptional. This modest looking restaurant in a tiny piazza off the main drag has a tiny kitchen but managed to serve delicious gourmet food.

We visited this place two times and it must be one of best restaurants in Toscana. Let them decide the wines! We tried both the rich fish meny and the poor fish meny, so you have to visit them two nights.

We had to stay for a weekend in Piombino for work. The saturday evening was a bit hard to find a table as we didn't book in advance anywhere. So luckily we came to "Al Baccanale" which was a pleasant surprise. The selection of food and the way presented are on a higher scale. The owner(s)/and waitress were very kind and the... More

We had the restaurant to ourselves for most of our meal - mainly because we arrived prior to 7pm. Service was excellent - even though we struggled with Italian, she was patient with us, and tried to speak English. This was our second night in Piombino. First night we ate somewhere else, and the food was very salty, and the... More

A family restaurant run by people with genuine interest and pride in their product. We very much enjoyed both the exquisite food and the ambiance in the restaurant. Go there, pronto!

Food good, service sufficient but we had a surprise with the bill. It was written by hand on a normal piece of paper (a way of avoiding paying taxes and vat) and we were to be charged € 32 for one bottle of wine instead of the menu price of € 20. An expected apology was not made by the... More

I apologize publicly gentilissmo customer misunderstanding the price of wine, but as she had already been explained, we were in good faith having the same name as the wine, both white and red, so who did he misread the bill, it is also true that these things should not happen! chef e propietario lovisetto ivano More

Arriving in Piombino, we've tested several restaurants. After some days we discovered this restaurant. Because of the beautiful decoration we decided to try this kitchen. And we didn't regret! The food was very very tasty, with a beautiful ensemble. An extra boost to our holiday! The friendly, sympathatic and customer directed people, made it a pleasure to get to this... More
