Delicious dinner. My husband had a platter of ravioli in a cream sauce with a side of sauteed spinach. I wanted something different from the many pasta dishes, so I ordered the plate of two sunnyside up eggs with truffles. Eggs will never be the...More

We wanted a place for lunch off the main tourist thoroughfare and this restaurant was perfect. The food was brilliant and the service friendly.

A great find! Firstly the waitress knew about her wine. We had their house red, made specially for them, which was fruity and amazing. At €22 not a bad price either! The menu isn't large, but the dishes were amazing. You could see everyone around...More

We were recommended this place by our hotel and couldn't have been happier. It's in a side street with tables outside and has a smallish but authentic Tuscan menu. We both had ravioli with ricotta, spinach and fresh porcini and loved it. My. Wife also...More

Wouldn't have found this place were it not for Fodors. Tucked up the hill on a sidewalk off the beaten path, it's a nice break from the tourist crowds. The food and wine were terrific. The English was limited, but there was no problem ordering...More

Great welcome and service. Faultless dinner with truffles. Best meal we had in town. We sat outside at 7.30 without booking and the place quickly filled up. San gim definitely gets better by night.

Came thoroughly recommended by our accommodation - and from them this was great accord indeed. Not disappointed either! From the welcome to the food to the reasonable prices (especially given a very touristy location), it was all delightful. Wonderful cod dish on a bed of...More

The Renaissance banquets at the Medici court with game and vegetables of the lands of Tuscany come back to life in The Manger restaurant menu in the center of San Gimignano. In Via Mainardi in the stables of an ancient building, Susi and Paul Nannelli have recreated the atmosphere of other times, offering a cuisine that is inspired precisely by the ancient recipes reworked in a modern way: fillet of venison with vin santo and mushrooms, Wild Boar Remigio de 'Nannini and wild boar in sweet and sour sauce are just some of the unusual dishes to try for sure. The restaurant is run by Mrs. Susi who chooses only local products for the preparation of the dishes presented to guests with care even in appearance. Do not miss the Tuscan specialties such as Ribollita or pappardelle with wild boar, much loved by foreign tourists who visit the locale.Il restaurant is located in the historical center a few steps from Piazza Sant'Agostino in a living room with stone walls and brick arches ancients. The atmosphere is rustic and elegant and is eaten with a background in classical music. In summer there stands outdoors to enjoy in addition to the kitchen even the atmosphere of the medieval village. The management is friendly: the spouses Nannelli together with their daughters Annalisa and Giulia will welcome you with kindness and cordiality.
