Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a fantastic meal - had lunch with three couples that was amazing. Had four course tasting menu with wine pairing A food was incredible and wine pairings just right. Out of way and nothing to look at from outside. But inside is another...story - great service and foodMore

A friend took us here, it's off the beaten path in Centro. A breadth of fresh air inside, totally unexpected. Highly attentive to service and to the cuisine. Very creative, but not at all pretentious. Asian infused/oriented cuisine, but very modern in preparation. Highly accomplished,...and delicious. Well worth going for a unique and satisfying experience. Happy to revisit it again.More

The fusion of classic Italian dishes such as pork belly with the Japanese cooking is a real masterpiece. Everything in the restaurant - the service, wine choices, chef's extras, the menu - was an absolute treat. The combination of flavours, textures and aroma is fabulous....The location is only about 5 mins walk from the main Campo but it is off a side street, trust in Google Maps to get you there - it really is worth it!More

This restaurant offers fine food in a tranquil and comfortable setting. It offers a pleasant rest and contrast from the crowds in the nearby tourist spots. The food is excellent and interesting. We very much enjoyed the risotto with calamari, fennel, chard and lemon, and...the salmon - and the fine staff provided helpful advice on what we should order and what we could share. They started us off with small delicacies (offered without charge) which we very much enjoyed. Too bad we didn't have time for desert - we hope to remedy that on our next visit.More

First, the quality of food at this restaurant is excellent. The tastes, textures, plating reflect the care and attention that goes into every meal. We had the 7 course degustation with matching wines (6) and on the night the meal was very fish oriented and...largely stronger tasting fish (e.g. mackerel and herring). I guess this is to be expected as, of the main courses on the a la carte menu, 3 are fish and the other veal. However, I feel that the fish was overdone. For example the rabbit tortellini had small amounts of herring on top and the herring overpowered the dish. Also reflecting the balance of the meal was that of the 6 wines, 2 were sparkling, 3 white and only 1 red (to go with the excellent crusted veal). The restaurant deserves its Michelin Guide status with excellent service complementing the food and this is still a restaurant that I would recommend and return to.More

We booked in advance online, and Daniella could not have been more helpful. It’s a little off the beaten track (but only 3-minute walk from Del Campo) we found it on our first morning and could see into the kitchens at 9.30am where the chefs...were already working meticulously to prepare for lunch service. We had dinner and booked again two more times over two weeks. Certainly, the best choice in Siena, we had the 4 course tasing menu, different on all three nights, excellent value for money, portion sizes were just perfect, complemented by chefs treats, pre desert, and homemade bread which was a lovely surprise, the service and sommelier were just brilliant but complements to the kitchen brigade, outstanding and consistently so. Clearly a local favourite with a mix of international customers and locals, the food and service were consistently high on all three nights. I am coeliac which makes it hard for a professional kitchen operating at this level, but my dishes were consistently high and mirrored my husbands on all three nights. Thank you so much, we’re still reminiscing about the food, flavours, creativity, and service. A holiday highlight. We could not have been more pleasedMore

Small fine dining restaurant tucked away in old Siena. Italian but with a distinctly Japanese twist. Delicious food, beautifully presented on carefully chosen bowls and plates. Staff who were knowlegeable and organised. Sommelier whose advice was spot on. Courses were sensibly sized, making a starter,...primo and secondo but no pud just right! Pricing of the food very reasonable given the quality of ingredienst and preparation and lots of interesting wines in the 30-40 Euro range.More

We decided to order the 7 tasting dishes with matching wine. It was really good, but I was so full by the end. There were a few components I didn't like, however that's my personal taste. The service was incredible, very high standard. I forgot...to take a photo of the pre-dessert!More

It was not too far from our hotel, but was a bit hard to find and the walk was good for us. The food was very good, very innovative in presentation, (hence the rating 4 out of 5), but the place lacked atmosphere. We sat...outside. Overall, we were disappointed.More

A small but delightful little restaurant off the beaten path in Siena! You have to work to find this place but it is worth finding! The cuisine is quite a fusion of Italian and Japanese flavors and some really wonderful textures as well. The amuse...bouche was quite amazing! Flavors I would never have thought to put together but that worked excellently together! The wine list is short but offers some excellent variety and value. Service was impeccable. Reservations are a must and a week or two in advance are recommended.More

So glad I booked this spot well in advance for my birthday. Such a modern and trendy place and the food is out of this world. We had pasta and veal tongue followed by duck breast and pork belly, all truly scrumptious and perfectly executed....Paolo was very friendly and we gladly followed his advice on wine and dishes. Every dish was perfect but the pork belly was just out of this world. Complementi, well done.More

Fantastic experience. Every dish was wonderful, the wine recommendations were so, so very good (and varietals that we would never have chosen on our own) and the service was absolutely outstanding. Would absolutely recommend

What an amazing experience. We found the restaurant on the Michelin website as a recommendation. Definitely this place deserve a star. The chef, Kohsuke, was in the kitchen, very humble person. Paolo was our sommelier and we had a good laugh with him. The dishes...were amazing, complexity and simplicity in the same plate. The wine pairing, made of unique and not main stream wines, complimented the overall flavour. Great value for money. Before even finishing our meal, we were texting friends recommending the restaurant. Definitely we will go back.More

Ate at Campo Cedro based on TA rating. Overall, a very good dining experience, but just not our thing. It is a bit out of the main area of Siena so take a taxi. It is smaller restaurant so reservations are a must. Very nice...atmosphere and clean contemporary feel. Service was excellent. We did not order the prix fix but ordered a la carte off the menu. It is not a large selection but 5-or 6 options for each course. We both had pasta dishes to start--the tortilla and the spaghetti--both were excellent. I had the duck for my second. It was very flavorful but tough--I would not order again. Check out the menu before you go and ensue this is what you are looking for. If so, go for it and you will have a great experience.More
