You simply haven't been to Siena if you didn't have a ciaccino in Poppi. Delicious, simple, cheap, genuine.

Locals flock here for a slice of pizza, or better yet try the local favorite: prosciutto mozzarella ciaccino!

Just around the corner, from our hotel, this is the place to fill up if you're really on a budget, (remember "Europe on $5 a Day?) Pizza Margherita was just out of the oven when we arrived. Two large slices and a small bottle of beer were €4.40. Just the coperto for two people at a restaurant will cost you... More

If you are looking of a quick snack while on the go and you still want to taste the italian food experience the there is no second place after poppi. A simple italian pizza bar for a really tasty slice of pizza or the famous ciaccino di Poppi. definitely try it.

Pizzeria Poppi is arguably the favorite local spot for pizza by-the-slice, and they've been around since the 1980s. Simple, no-frills, and yummy! There is really no need for them to advertise. Their sign out front just says "Pizzeria." Perhaps their most popular is the prosciutto and mozzerella ciaccino, but it's all very tasty.
