Best restaurant in Assisi for me. A family run restaurant with homecooked food. We had the tourist menu and for 18 Euros we got free wine and free water a lovely starter, main course and dessert. Best service too. Cosy atmosphere but you definitely need to book as it gets full quick.

I had gone to Pallotta in 2014 during my first stay in Assisi, and I had found the service extremely slow and not very warm. Well, I recently returned and they have improved greatly. I went there 5 times in total and loved everything, from the food to the service, everything was perfect and delightful. I particularly enjoyed the Umbrian... More

White table cloths and wonderful ambience made for a lovely lunch for our group. The house wine for 8 Euro a liter was nice. Everything from the omelette to the cannelloni to the veal was very good. We had a really nice lunch and would highly recommend the place. The service was attentive and friendly.

I read about this place before visiting it and the reviews were very good. The place was very busy but that does not justify the fact that our appetizer never came and that the quality of the food was very bad. I had tortellini with a tomato and pesto sauce. The tomatoes were cold and the sauce was very liquid.... More

Pallotta is a good deal less touristy than other Assisi eateries. It's a very interesting blend of a traditional Italian eatery and a more upscale, modern restaurant you'd associate with a major city. Prices are more than reasonable and the service is extra-friendly. And the food is beyond superlative. One caveat: Make a reservation. It's not required, but makes things... More

We had the Degustation lunch and it was a lovely experience. A lovely appetizer platter with parma ham, prosciutto, paté, a vegetable pie, etc. The pasta course offered a Tortellini dish and a tagliatelle dish. I had the Pigeon with roast potatoes and chicory primi (outstanding). The Dolce was amazing. We had wines for 3 courses and a dessert wine... More

Just off the main square and offering a lovely 'Tourist Menu' for 18 euro, which includes wine. Friendly efficient staff. Tables close together. No wonder! They are packed all the time. You may have to wait for a table. They close at 9.30 pm, which is quite a surprise.

This place is amazing. I ate there a few years ago and returned on this trip. It was excellent. Very authentic Umbrian cuisine. Before you arrive, make sure you download google translator. English is not required nor well understood in this restaurant. It is run by a very hard working family. They make you feel very welcome. It is like... More

In a tourist hotspot, this unpretentious family-run trattoria was a real find. The interior was a typical Italian eclectic mix of traditional furniture, linen tablecloths, religious art & bright lighting, but no less charming for that. Staff were welcoming, service a little slow but we weren't in a rush. Food was delicious; honest uncomplicated home-style cooking with ample menu choices.... More

In the Piazza Del Comune, right in front of the Temple of Minerva, you pass an arch known as “Volta Pinta” with the marvellous grotesques painted by Raffaellino Del Colle in the sixteenth century. Trattoria Pallotta is discretely set apart, at the end.The simple decor will make you feel the familial warmth. Before being seated at your table, ask to visit the cellar that was discovered during the renovation works. Here you will find many regional labels as well as a small selection of national wines, some of which are served by the glass.Margherita looks after the preparation of the meals, using prime local produce and will always offer you new seasonal dishes, staying faithful to the tradition.
