This exceptional restaurant is nothing short of a gastronomic wonder. Everything about it -- from the gorgeous centuries old setting to the almost lost art of impeccable service to the unimaginably delicious food is top tier. Here is a restaurant where you can get a two course world-class meal for 20€. I recommend the Pear and Walnut Salad and absolutely... More

4 of us found this restaurant by chance. We were looking for somewhere to have dinner and liked the look of menu more than that of any of the other places we passed. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the surroundings impressive. We would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting to eat local food in a classy place.... More

This restaurant is housed in a very high-walled room which was once the cold store for the Dukes. It isn’t cold now and the food was excellent. We had a fantastic meal with great service by our smartly-dressed waiter. It started with an Umbrian champagne-style prosecco, but it was like a rose in taste and colour with hardly any bubbles.... We had a fantastic 4 course meal here and were also given a complimentary course of carrot mousse. They have an extensive wine list and menu with something for everyone, they even have a set menu for coeliacs. It isn't the cheapest restaurant in Gubbio, but this place is really special and well worth it!

We found this place somewhat randomly - we had walked around Gubbio and decided we would stop somewhere and then see what restaurants were around with decent reviews. It was around lunch time but we were initially the only diners. The ambiance of the room was nice. Our server was lovely - she made some recommendations and was very good... More

The restaurant offers excellent regional food sampling menu. It is not cheap but worth it. We've also tried very good locally-produced wine, beer and grappa. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. They have a pleasant sitting area on a quiet street.

Stopped with a group of friends for a quick mod-afternoon drink. Ordered 'salumi e formaggi tipici', which was delicious. A very good selection of local meats of a very high quality (not the lower standard of meat one often gets in tourist restaurants). Delightful staff and a friendly welcome. Worth a stop of wandering around Gubbio.

We stopped here at the end of a wonderful afternoon in Gubbio, we have 2 small children and they were really accommodating - the kids shared a menu of pasta and veal & chips and we had the Umbria tasting menu - amazing food and completely authentic, not the cheapest meal we have had in Italy - but the quality... The only disappointment with this restaurant was that we found it too late on our Gubbio holiday. The restaurant is just a few minutes stroll from the excellent Hotel Gattapone, which was our home for the week (see separate review). We didn’t seek the restaurant out initially due to the reviews describing it as “quiet”; it was in fact very... More

We ate here on a Sunday night in September. It was the best meal we ate during our week in Gubbio. We went here because of the positive reviews on TA , we were surprised that we were the only guests when we walked in and it is a pity we stayed the only guests that night! The interior is... More
