Four of us spent a lovely evening here recently and three of us opted for the vegetarian tasting menu. Congratulations to the Purefoy Arms for doing this - a rare occurrence. It was very good, from the warm and plentiful bread to the delightful dessert...More

It used to be the case, not that long ago, that you could rely on a visit to a local pub for a meal resulting in sheer disbelief and disappointment by comparison with what you could rely on getting in France or Belgium. Happily that...More

The quality of the 'Welsh Rarebit' burger was superb. Plenty of mature cheddar, and excellent chips not made from your average potatoes. They tasted as though the potatoes were home grown and dug up that day. The local real ale was great, too.

After a somewhat chequered history it's now safe to go back. The place has been refurbished and the new team and menu is very good. I can most definitely recommend the ribs!
