It's a very nice typically Swiss restaurant with very nice ambiance (a lot of wood) and very yummy food. A bit pricey, though (welcome to Switzerland!). Tip: try the liver either if you're a liver fan or not so much. It's really delicious!

SERVICE The service was quick and friendly; although a bit stressed. FOOD The fondue was excellent. VALUE FOR MONEY Walliser Kanne is really expensive. Fondue was CHF 34.00 apiece! For the caramel flan they charged CHF 16.00

Very traditional restaurant right in the heart of Basel downtown. I tried the classical Swiss cheese fondue and it was amazing. This one serve 2 persons.

We walked in for lunch at around 2, the restaurant was empty so we were not sure if they would serve. However we were pleasantly surprised, the waiter there was so friendly and helpful, and welcomed us. We had a very good meal. Thank you. A great fine dine experience.

Great and typical Swiss restaurant. The menu is full of Swiss specialities like fondue or raclette. I went for the fondue. With the fondue and a beer I paid 40 Swiss franc which is not surprising given how expensive Switzerland is but overall the restaurant is great do not hesitate to go.

i have never tried a cheese fondue before, but you gotta try it whenever you are in Basel. I have not tried it anywhere else but it was very delicious. Also service is very good, friendly and professional. Quite pricy though..

The cheese fondue with mushrooms is a must have! It's very filling so I would suggest just a salad to accompany your meal. The flan was spectacular as well.

We had a nice dinner in the evening for 2. We made a reservation and a table was reserved for us. We had a nice table at the upper floor. Unfortunately when ordering we got a pushy server that chose for us. For the drinks I asked a tapped beer but got the most expensive beer in bottle. When asking... More

Nice place to lunch in shopping and museum area of Basel. Good food, reasonably priced and convivial atmosphere conducive to very pleasant conversations with other guests. Reasonable prices for soups and fondue on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Basel. Don't think u can go wrong with this place.

Spread over 2 floors. Authentic fondue restaurant along the pedestrian section of the old city. Good service and atmosphere.
