a friend brought me there during my first visit in Basel on a Friday night, that was supposed to be "girls don't pay entrance until 22:00". Arrived at 22:01 we were invited to pay or leave. We got in hoping that the place would be as nice as described in other reviews, but honestly I didn't find anything special about... More

I have come to this place many times to show visiting tourists and colleagues the view over Basel. Tonight, Door was blocked by 4 people who blocked our entry because apparently the place was to precious for two middle aged women on a Saturday night. Experience made me and my old high school chum feel awful, neither of us was... More

Dear expatbasel First of all we would like to thank you for your honest review. Our goal is to deliver a perfect experience, and we very much regret we did not succeed this time. On the weekend, the top floors of the tower can get quite busy. In such cases, our doorpeople may restrict access in order to ensure that... More

This Bar is on the top of the tallest building in Basel. Slightly 70's in style but stunning place to watch the sun go down and enjoy cocktails at 18 swiss francs a shot.

Dear mikedwStirling It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Bar Rouge! :) We are proud to be located on top of one of the tallest buildings of Switzerland (to be fair, since last year, the tallest building in Basel is nearby Roche Tower), and we hope that you soon have another opportunity to visit Basel. The best city view. Excellent cocktail quality by qualified people. Polite and excellent service! A great variety of super premium alcohol brands. The best place to relax and enjoy basel from above drinking a "smokey lan"!!!!!

Comfortable seats. Cocktails. Music was 80s/90s. Great views (even the toilets have a glass wall to the outside!)

Amazing club to spend an unforgettable night with friends while dancing to a good music and sipping cocktails served in fancy glasses. Located on a tenth floor, Bar Rouge allows you to admire the city on a "highest level." A real gem in the Basel's nightlife.

As bars go this can boast an exceptional view of the city, other than that it's Ok. As most of the reviews state the cocktails are expensive, but what isn't in Switzerland. Expected to be met at the entrance 'selling' the bar experience but it was just an empty desk area and walk to the lift, again the lift itself... More

Very posh looking and nice place. Brilliant view of Basel even in the ladies room! Bananacurry sauce that comes with chicken wings and fries is surprisingly tasty. Sadly, my martini was stronger than i asked for and the olives were the worst i have ever tasted! So bitter i couldnt swallow. Only good point for me was the view and... More

Dear Guzin, Thank you for your review. It is nice to hear that you had a great time with your friends. Also, we are glad that you enjoyed our chicken wings with banana-curry sauce, as we ourselves find them absolutely scrumptious! ;) As for the martini: While we believe that quality olives have to be a little bit bitter, we... A decent place for a romantic drink as the sun goes down. Service was slow but friendly and the resulting cocktails were decent.

Joined the bar after lunch with a few colleagues. Some colleges had to leave their jackets a the Garderobe some not... very uncomfortable to have 2 Hands and the valvet/Portemonnaie in your hands in a crowded bar... Followed by chaos, bad music no atmosphere and long wanting times. The view... about 15th floor.. nothing exciting, however, seems to be the... More
