We ordered a homemade pasta and lasagna and we were served a frozen lasagna and a raw pasta with dry minced meat insi, also the wine was pretty bad choice. All things considered an experience not to repeat

Have been to this restaurant more than 20 times on visits to Basel, during all seasons. In the summer, they have great outdoor seating that is covered and in the winter the restaurant is cozy. This is not a fancy restaurant but the service is...More
This is a great Italian restaurant, luckily right around the corner from me. Many consider it to have the best pizza in Basel... I had a delightful evening here, although I found it difficult to concentrate on my conversation once the table next to us...More

I am a resident of Basel and I find the pizzas in the restaurant "Da Gianni" the best in this town. I recommend this restaurant as a hint for pizzal lovers!
We arrived at 7pm and our starters arrived around 8.45. The food was good, nice atmosphere and portion sizes were excellent.

We always think that no matter where you are you can't go wrong with Italian and Da Gianni was a good choice. We came for a late lunch; the food was good, typical Italian and service also good so we can't complain.
