I used to live in Bern and this restaurant was one of my favorite places to go to. After not living here I still go back for a visit. Gourmanderie Moléson never disappoints me. I have tried many dishes there but this time of the year (0 degree C) Cheese Fondue is calling! Cheese Fondue here is made of two... More

I shared fondue with some friends. It was OK, but nothing special, and came with some plain potatoes. The escargot appetizer was not fresh – out of the shell – and not as good as French ones with garlic, and quite expensive. The wine was very expensive. I know Switzerland is expensive, but this dinner cost twice as much as... More

We went there for lunch. French cuisine, their specialties are crêpes flambées. I chose à la Provençale, my friend had du Jardin. Good value for lunch menu.. Service is very pleasant, Many choces à la carte. Very central, not far from Arts Museum.

My wife and I had lunch here. The restaurant seems crampy at first sight but they offer several good and exciting lunch dishes. We enjoyed ours very much. The service was very good and we didn't think much about the small space after our lunch was served. By the way, we did not order cheese fondue. Nothing wrong with cheese... More

Chesse fondue in a private (and tiny) space. Good for couples, tasty for chesse connoisseurs, interesting if you look for something "different".

I was there with some friends for lunch. The weather was excellent and we could sit outside. This was very nice. The food was ok and on a fair price.

Small and intimate restaurant meets you at the door with a heavy cheese smell. I tried the fondue, with was good but of course very heavy. It was too much to eat (and I usually eat a lot). We struggled a little with the menus which were only partly translated. The service was friendly and efficient.

I've had fondue in a few restaurants around Bern, and honestly, it's usually not very good. Even the non-touristy places don't seem to get it right. And don't even bother trying it at someplace like a ski resort -- it's almost guaranteed to be terrible. I'm happy to say this place is different. My local friends tell me they have... More

We took the fondue moitie moitie all the three of us, portion was more than enough and most of all really tasty! We had Bernese beer and very good pommes frites (not at all ready-made food!) and ended with a delicious taste tatin with... More

they have a nice wine menu and more sophisticated seating inside as well as a more relaxed outdoor area. what I appreciated the most was how helpful the waiter was. 5 people shared a fondue for 3 and he was right that it was more than enough. with a bottle of nice wine and a couple salads it came to... In Berne's traffic free Aarbergergasse quarter, just five minutes from the parlament house and main station, lies the Gourmanderie Moléson. The gourmet menu entices you with real culinary pleasures. Grandma's market fresh meals with Swiss veal Cordon Bleu, Emmentaler rack of lamb, French free range chicken, AOC certified Charolais beef and SwissPrimBeef, fresh seasonal fish, Scottish Salmon (certifed Red Label), certified AOC swiss cheese fondue AOP from Gruyère and crispy Alsatian pies. All our meat comes from animals that were raised in their correct natural environment. All dishes are prepared from start to finish in our kitchen including our desserts. We are proud that all of our meals are prepared without any factory products. The restaurant is devided into three separate dining spaces where all meals are served. Experience the ambiance of a classic Brasserie in the Gourmanderie. The Petit Moléson swings with the rhythm of a Parisien Bistro. The Greyerzerstube with its original old wooden finish is perfect for bankets with twenty to thirty guests. In the summer time, enjoy your meal under large umbrellas on grand oldstyle furniture and feel the atmosphere of a Bernese old town street. Our place is the meeting point for local politicians, artists, business people and romantic connaiseurs. In Moléson you don't eat, you feast!
