Wow!! This absolutely made our 3 night stay in Geneva. So good that we ate here two nights. The 1st night we struck very lucky with the perfect table right next to the singer. The 2nd night we were on the balcony so it wasn’t...quite the same experience but we are so glad that it meant someone else had the ‘downstairs’ table to enjoy. Food wise, the onion soup with the bread is OUT OF THIS world! Be warned it is very filling though!, we had the beef for mains with red wine gravy sauce, unfortunately this arrived lukewarm so not too enjoyable. We were too stuffed for puddings so on the 2nd night we returned for more onion soup & to try a dessert each but the waiter told us that we had to order a mains too! Sadly this meant we were both eating food that we really couldn’t manage & then missed out on dessert again! . The entertainer worked his socks off & we loved his performances. Cannot recommend the experience highly enough ..,More

A local Swiss traditional setting. It is essential to eat the cheese fondue at least once in Switzerland, but be aware this is not only delicious but extremely filling . We did not need to each order a main meal to follow. A talented musician...moving between instruments gave a nice atmosphere.More

We spent the last evening of our stay in this quirky restaurant with it's alpine decor and had a fabulous time. It was the menu that drew us initially with traditional Swiss dishes of raclette, rosti and fondue on offer but it was the entertainment...that made it so special. We chose Fondue Bourginonne (beef) and Fondue Edelweiss (cheese) and the lovely waiting staff set up the oil burners on the table. Soon a pot of hot oil was carried to the table along with a basket of fries and a pile of raw steak. A pot of molten cheese arrived next with what looked like a whole granary loaf for dipping. The server gave us some tips on what to do then left us to it. Sheer bliss! When we arrived, an elderly gentleman in lederhosen and a little felt hat was singing along to an accordion and during the evening, he proceeded to yodel, play the cow bells and alpenhorn. He was still going when we left some 2.5 hours later! Such a memorable nightMore

Traditional, yodelling and unforgettable… check in all boxes BUT in a remarkable bad way. This was a total dinner meltdown… the food was bad and without finesse, service quite mediocre, noisy premises and traditional music that drives you mad in about 30 sec. Of course...you can always say ‘but this is a traditional place so this is how It works’ and sure… you will not forget this like a really bad culinary nightmare. I strongly advise you to find an other place for a dinnerMore

We read rave reviews about the restaurant but thought it looked really touristy and had second thoughts but decided to try it anyway. We were seated upstairs in a corner so couldn’t see the entertainment but certainly heard it loud and clear. It was rather...hard to have a conversation with our family. Our daughter ordered the cheese fondue for one and it only came with cubes of bread. It was disappointing to just have bread. I wanted to order the French onion soup but was told by the waiter I had to order an entree. So I ordered perch. The plate was 75% French fries and a small amount of perch and was quite expensive. Would not recommend that entree. Service was minimal even though he walked by our table many times. We were in Geneva for 5 days. This restaurant was by far the most expensive with the poorest quality of food and service.More

This restaurant serves traditional Swiss food. The specialty is, of course, cheese fondue, what's more Swiss than that? The interior of the restaurant is decorated like a traditional Swiss log cabin with lots of wooden ornaments. You really feel like you're stepping into another world...if you enter from the busy streets of Geneva. Our company of four persons ordered the menu Edelweiss for in total 57 CHF per person. As a starter we had an assiette Valaisanne and some raclette cheese. As a main course we went for the fondue au fromage moitié-moitié. We drank a lovely bottle of chasselas wine with our meal. To be honest, the starter in combination with the cheese fondue was plenty of food, so we had some difficulty in finishing the excellent home made apple strudel. During our dinner we could enjoy some live folk music. The musician even played the alphorn. We liked the music, but at times it was a bit loud, so we had to raise our voice to understand each other.More

The food was terrible. We ordered perch. Instead of a filet, it was lots of little breaded pieces (like the trimmings of a nice filet). The taste was poor and it was over cooked. My dining companions had the French fries that came with the...dinner. They were terrible and cooked in old oil. Luckily I ordered a salad. The wine was awful. We couldn’t drink it. Service was extremely poor. The only good thing was the bread.More
