Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff were knowledgable and prompt. They made sure that our children had options likely to appeal to them. The food was prepared to perfection and served impeccably. The Swiss wine we chose was also a nice surprise.

I only wish we were hungrier when we visited. The staff was very nice. We started with martinis. Perfectly prepared and poured. The amuse bouche and canapes were delightful. I had the langoustine. Wow! lightly fried and delectable! My husband had the pork which melted...in your mouth. The bread was soft and delicious. The dessert course was a play on the amuse bouche/canapes. What a well thought out meal. They had a great wine selection. We are so disappointed we were not hungry enough to order the tasting menu. While we did not need this, they are able to accommodate some diet restrictions. It was a lovely evening and we plan to return on a future visit to Geneva to have the full experience of this elegant venue.More

My husband and I had a very special meal at Le Chat Botte. The food was fantastic and the service even better. We did the tasting menu and while everything was delicious The Char was phenomenal. Fish is not my favorite but if I hadn't...been told fish was in it, I would have had no idea. It tasted like mushroom and onion. Heaven. Again, good food, great service, would recommend if you're looking for a special evening.More

The food was outstanding, as was the service. The menu was fairly limited, but the choices were very well executed. We found the spacing between tables to be a really pleasant surprise, and the room is beautiful. All in all a really special experience.

We were fortunate to be among the first diners to experience the newly appointed Head Chef, Matthieu Croze’s first service. From start to finish the meal was of the highest standard. The presentation and efficient yet friendly service complimented great cooking. A delightful evening, truly...Fine Dining.More

We went for lunch. The extremely friendly and well-prepared staff, professionalism does not overwhelm the simplicity that makes the customer feel at ease. The dishes left us surprised: perfectly balanced flavours, from appetizer to dessert ... and even the eye has had its share (top...) Right waiting times; Fair price for one "refined".More

This was a wonderful dining experience. We had very high expectations, and they blew those out of the water! We did the 6-course tasting menu. Not only did we get 6 excellent courses, we got probably another 4 or 5 courses full of surprises. Everything...we ate was extremely delicious. The best dish by far though was the pike/perch. How do they make it that tender and delicious? Service was wonderful, very attentive, but still allowing us space to enjoy the experience. I’d recommend to anyone if you’re willing to spend a little money, of course! We definitely felt it was worth it!More

Food was good, but not great. Surprised at the Michelin rating. Probably the most disappointing one I’ve tried in Europe. In my opinion wasn’t worth the price. Service started out strong but ended poorly. Better options in Geneva

After being teased by my brother about not taking him to a Michelin-star restaurant during his visit, we sought out one to try so I could take him there next time. Indeed, it was a gourmet experience and service par excellence. I loved how we...were asked for allergies and how quickly they replaced an entrée that didn't suit it. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience altogether and the star is well deserved. The food was excellent. The suggested pairings were also highly appreciated. Thank you very much for a lovely experience. We will surely come back with my brother.More

I am originally from Geneva but left a very long time ago and don't visit very frequently. I have always known of this restaurant, located in one of the most prestigious hotels, but never visited before. I had decided to have a luxury and gastronomic...weekend in Geneva, after not going back for 4 years and decided randomly to reserve the Chat Botté. The staff, from the cocktail bar to the restaurant, are all of the same calibre, professional, friendly and want nothing more than that you spend a fabulous time. I even had a cocktail made to measure at the bar before going down to the restaurant. We had the signature menu and each dish better than the last one. I can't even think of a "favourite" one, it would be hard to choose.More

It is a very smart restaurant and everyone was well and elegantly dressed. Jacket (no tie) for men and I wore a black dress with dressy shoes.
