This cozy little restaurant is located in the Hotel de la Paix. It was recommended to us because we wanted to try traditional Swiss cuisine. We are so glad we went! The hostess and wait staff were friendly and efficient; they were able to find us a table despite us showing up without reservations on a busy night. The prices... More

Grüezi Dilara L Thank you very very much for your nice and full points review. We are so pleased to read about your experience in our Restaurant. You have absolutely selected the right dishes. The Original Lucerne Fritschipastete is a genious dish. The recepy is dated from the french war when the swiss had been soldiers to protect the king... More

The restaurant looks welcoming and comfortable. We had eaten a large lunch so only wanted something simple, so asked the waitress before we sat, and offered to just sit in the bar. The waitress and waiter were quite snooty and brusque which made us feel uncomfortable. The food was ok, nothing amazing, and found it odd that the chef came... More

Grüezi TamMark81 thank you for taking your time and writing a review. We are a little surprised about your comments. Usually our Kitchen Chef never sits in the Restaurant especially not on service time as his capability will be needed on the stove. We are also surprised about the comment about our waitress since we receive so many compliments about... More

Enjoyed dinner at Lapin. Great range of menu including traditional Swiss and German dishes. Really enjoyed the rabbit stew and steak was great. Excellent wine list including some lovely French wines by the half bottle of which we enjoyed several. Highly recommended but bring your credit card as not cheap!

Grüezi Dwalsch177 Thank you for your nice comment and compliments. We are happy you had a lovely dinner. It was a real pleasure to recommend you my personal favourite wine. Sometimes the half bottles gives a chance to try out new wines and espcially for two persons dinner with aperitif makes sense. We hope we can welcome you on another... More

Quite a comfortable place. The service is quite good and the waitresses are nice and smiling. (..not always in Lucern..) Food quite ok, nothing special but ok, even the veal was a little too hard. Prices as always in Switzerland: too high for what u get..

Grüezi Gianni F thank you for your comment. We are pleased you had a nice and smiling waitress during your meal in our Restaurant Lapin. We were treated with pleasant english speaking wait staff, who found us a table even when they couldn't find our reservation. Our dinner was superb, my trout with capers was excellent, my wife throughly enjoyed her pork medallions. Dinner was not inexpensive, but it was worth it!

Grüezi thank you for your review. And thank you for giving us full Points. That helps us a lot. You had selected some of our really typically swiss and local dishes. Especially the porc medallion is very popular during the winter time. We had prepared it with the special Mushrooms and the Rösti, overbaked with the local Lucerner Rahmkäse. Even... More

An excellent kitchen, with great value for moderate money! (Especially to Swiss standards very good prices!) Staff very attentive, personal and yet professional, they really take care of you and look after your needs. In "When were you there" I can only click one month. But I'm a regular guest since over 10 years now!! It feels like home.

I was referred to Lapin as a place that I could get Röschti, that wonderful large portion of hash browned potatoes with cheese and an egg but I couldn't find it anywhere on the menu. They had a very interesting vegetable plate that I did order, with roasted brussle sprouts in a sweet glaze, homemade spatzel, sweet purple cabbage, chestnuts... More
