This is a great place to come and enjoy superb Swiss cooking in a lovely atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious: two in our party had a rack of lamb with as much gratin as they could eat and I had the gorgeous king prawns....More

Great ambiance in the evening with the open grill adding a nice touch to the atmosphere. Lunches were good too and their creamy celery and potato soup had me asking for a second serve. If only my steak had been even slightly tender then I...More

I have rarely seen a restaurant where you get so little in your plate. Pastas were served in a risotto plate, I took minced veal and probably got 30g of it and on top of it no bread was provided. It tasted good but nothing...More

The concierge at our hotel recommended this spot for our first night in Zermatt. We arrived at 18:00 for our 18:30 reservation since we were not sure of the location of the restaurant. We were invited to have a seat and a beverage, but decided...More

The sizzling “holzfeuer” is the centrepiece of Le Gitan, creating an immediate warm and welcoming atmosphere at the forefront of the restaurant. You can wet your appetite by watching all the action from your table; our chef prepares all our grills over the wood fire. Specialities include lamb, prawns, beef and spit-roasted chicken tarragon.
