What can a Mexican, a Tuscan and a Swede do together? The closest thing to a Japanese Kaiseki restaurant that is seasonal local fixed world fusion menu ready to amaze you with a strong Japanese Mexican influenced, a UFO in the alps, worth every penny!...Will have to reserve and give my wife allergies next time.More

While looking for a Michelin-star restaurant in Zermatt, I noticed Brasserie Uno first as they are recipients of a green star as well. Naturally I looked for their social media to get a better idea and immediately loved it. The minimalistic decoration with old-school elements,...the attitude of the owner and staff, as well as the music, set the perfect mood. They break the barriers of what people think a Michelin-star restaurant should be. Now to the best part, that is the food. Exceptional marrying of flavour, smell and taste. Their "no-waste" tomato ceviche dish is a must-have. Close second was their deconstructed bao bun with crispy pork and the fennel-melon dessert was an absolute delight. Wine pairing was on point and I highly recommend it, as the whole combination gets you to a culinary journey you need to embark. Very much looking forward to going back!More

The food was inventive, delicious, beautiful - and much of it is locally sourced from the kitchen garden or foraged from the hills behind the restaurant. My friend had the wine pairing which she loved and my gin and tonic was exceptional. We loved it....The service was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed and warm and every course felt like an event. Absolutely not to be missed if you're in the region. My photos don't do it justice - every plate here is a delicious work of art. Stunning!More

For me Brasserie Uno is one of my must go restaurants in town. The location & Interior is great & you kind of feel like coming home to the team. The open kitchen makes it possible to watch Luis and Tomasso doing their magic. The...dishes combining local dishes with Mexican & italien influence, you really do not want to miss out on it. Not to forget about the great service & nice wine pairing which makes the great evenings completeMore

Very inventive, local, fresh cuisine. Excellent service. We could view the kitchen the entire time, as it's right in the middle of the restaurant.

We went in for a surprise meal for 150 CHF each. I asked if there was wine with the meal and was told there is wine paired with the meal. We didn’t get to see a menu. The meal was a surprise. The service and...the food were excellent although portions were small. But they never let us know the wine was not included. The 150CHF turned into over 250 CHF each. If money is no object and you are not real hungry, go for it. The bill left a bad taste in my mouth!More

This place is simply amazing - such as the team! 1 Michelin* in such a cozy, rustic and down to earth atmosphere - incredible, this place is a magical living room with wizards in the kitchen and on the wines! Älpemaccaronen- Mexican-Twist, I will never...forget them! Thank you for a stunning night!More

I cannot believe Michelin awarded this place a star! I've lost trust in Michelin assessment since I visited this restaurant. The chef tries too hard to be creative, mixing and matching ingredients with no idea what flavour they want to achieve. The results are disgusting...tasteless meals, everything liquidised like baby food. My dessert part of a tasting menu was a biscuit with liquidised god-knows-what. Awful presentation - they probably bought the dining sets from a junk market. The plates look dirty and the blue medieval pattern makes the food even less appealing. And they charge ££££. Even half the price not worth it.More

The atmosphere at Brasserie Uno was warm and inviting , the chef came to our table to present the first of many tasting dishes , all made with locally sourced and interesting ingredients. I have experienced tasting menus in London and New York and this...was so fresh and inspiring - every mouthful was a flavour explosion and I will be dreaming about the dishes for a long time to come. We felt very well looked after by the staff , the sommelier was fun to talk to and knowledgable - we had lots of new culinary experiences in one evening . It’s an experience unlike most other restaurants, more than just a dinner out with friends but an event and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it . Thank you to the team who took such good care of us .More

Cosy restaurant located in between the iconic church and the bridge where visitors congregate to catch a close up glimpse of Matterhorn. Homely nostalgic deco and casual set up make it a comfortable place for travellers to relax and enjoy a surprising menu without all...the fuss. Lovely team of staff, creative menu and pretty fun with their wine pairing choices.More

Overpriced. Not worth the money. Spent over $1,000 CHF for a price fix meal with wine paring for a party of four. We have traveled the world and have been to some amazing restaurants and this is NOT one of them. Portions were very small...and the main dishes had no flavor. We had to add salt to give it some flavor and that shouldn't happen in a Michelin star restaurant. Very disappointed. Would not recommend! So many other amazing options at half the price in Zermatt.More

Had huge expectations for Uno Brasserie. Was looking forward to a great culinary experience. Rude waitor, tastless food. We left after a couple of courses. How this place managed to earn a star is beyond me. Not worth a visit.More

🤣🤣🤣 Hi Jan! Thanks for your review. Your group was a huge disappointment to us! You and your 5 friends arrived drunk, demanded steaks and burgers and were aggressive towards our waitress. You had 1 course and left to get McDonald's and several tables told...More

With a Michelin star you'd expect great food, sadly not the case. Despite the amazing ingredients and techniques used each course was a disappointment. The prawn ceviche had nothing to offset the acid, the beef taco was tiny, soggy and flavourless except for the lime...juice Apple and onion mousse had strange gloopy glaze, accompanied by veg crisps The wagyu beef didn't look like Wagyu beef and overpowered by pickles (said to be Kimchi but nothing with the depth of flavour of any Kimchi I have tasted), the final course was just whipped cream (perhaps hint if honey?) with a delicate biscuit. This is not Michelin quality food. It takes 3 1/2 hours, plates are tiny so crazy long waits between service. That said service very friendly and ambience great. I don't mind paying good money for creative food, but I do mind being taken for a fool.More

This restaurant is a real gem serving interesting and delicious food in Zermatt. One of the best meals we had in Switzerland. The set menu changes every day depending on season and availability of fresh, local ingredients. Very reasonably priced and friendly service, highly recommended.

My husband and I went here for dinner one night in Zermatt. It was amazing!! Beautifully crafted menu with all local ingredients. We loved not knowing what was coming until it arrived, it made for an exciting dinner. The dishes we were served were very...unique and not things you'd find on a standard menu, which was really cool. We loved every bit of it. And the service was impeccable! Really friendly people who made us feel right at home. Would absolutely go again when in Zermatt!More
