It is rare to find a restaurant that has it all - Findlerhof manages to do just that with excellent food, friendly service and jaw dropping terrace views. Make sure to book a table as it gets very busy. Our group took the early sitting for lunch and despite that we did not feel like our meal was rushed (although... More

Special restaurant for special people run by special people. Exceptional food and drink for those who really appreciate this unique alpine ambiance with stunning views of the Matterhorn. It has become an annual pilgrimage.

With the Matterhorn shimmering in brilliant February sunshine and the snow twinkling, a walk down snowy and slightly icy paths beside the pistes from Sunnega, saw us arrive to take up our booking at the charming restaurant in Findeln called the Findlerhof. A warm welcome , even although we were not regulars and shown to our table on the sun... More

I'm sure this is a lovely restaurant on a fine day, but when snow is beckoning and you are made to sit on the highest terrace, with a wind blowing, it's not pleasant. Having tried to say we would rather be inside, Heidi still insisted on putting us up top, and funnily enough no one else joined us! Sweet waiter... More

Booking an outdoor table here is essential, especially on a sunny day. The food (we had rosti and veal sausage, with a salad) was top-notch: crispy rosti, succulent sausage with a very tasty onion gravy; the salad was also delicious. The view is spectacular and directly in the sun (remember to bring your sunglasses). The clientele consisted of Swiss people... More

After sampling most of the top restaurants in Zermatt this was my favorite. The food was spectacular and the view stunning. It is a bit of a walk down to get to but well worth the trip!

Skied most of the day and had a 2:15 reservation at Findlerhof which was perfect. It was just becoming a bit less busy (though still full). We had a great table with a direct view of the Matterhorn. We all had pasta which was really good. And apple cobbler dessert. The restaurant is located in a tiny mountain village. Great... More

We skied all day to earn the right to a two PM lunch stop here. Wow! Picture postcard tiny village with a restaurant worth of its great reputation. We all loved the salads, lamb shanks and the fabulous apple strudel. Outstanding wine list. Great service and a magical Swiss setting. Loved it.
