For those who love the real thing and prefer to hang out with the locals. High quality food prepared with the best products. This is where you meet the guides and the Zermat people.

Skied most of the day and had a 2:15 reservation at Findlerhof which was perfect. It was just becoming a bit less busy (though still full). We had a great table with a direct view of the Matterhorn. We all had pasta which was really good. And apple cobbler dessert. The restaurant is located in a tiny mountain village. Great... More

We skied all day to earn the right to a two PM lunch stop here. Wow! Picture postcard tiny village with a restaurant worth of its great reputation. We all loved the salads, lamb shanks and the fabulous apple strudel. Outstanding wine list. Great service and a magical Swiss setting. Loved it.

Incredible experience in the hills of Zermatt. The food and the service was outstanding. Pretty good selection of wines, too. It is a definate stop, at least once while skiing in beautiful Zermatt

Such a lovely spot located just down the Eja run. Fantastic (and very rich) cuisine and drinks, and a stunning view of the mountain. Quite expensive but worth the splurge for the experience at least once!

The best lamb shank I have ever eaten. Stunning views, friendly service and and Italian wine list from heaven. A must visit!

We had a hike from zermatt and accidentally found this place. It was heavenly here, the fish soup was divine, imagine it's located kind of middle of nowhere. Their menu even have sashimi and oysters. The wine list is really good but we didn't have any coz we still need to hike uphill after lunch.

Amazing food with very friendly service! Cozy inside and great view outside. Spaghetti Patrone and Rösti Matterhorn was a great choice, to start with we had a Quiche to share which was delicious. We left rather full!

Location and food amazing. Service surprisingly slow on our last visit (and it was not even busy!). But this being Findlerhof, we still left happy. You cannot go wrong here. In winter, make sure to book a table beforehand! To get there, you have several options. You can walk from Zermatt (uphill!) or you can take the Sunegga funicular and... More

Findlerhof has the greatest views I have ever experienced at an eatery! The men in my group hiked almost an hour to enjoy the restaurant, while the ladies took the tram to the top of the mountain and hiked down to Findlerhof. The hike was worth it. The view of the Matterhorn could not have been more clear! The food... More
