Delicious food, polite and helpful service. It is expensive, but it's absolutely worth it. I look forward to eating here again.

We had dinner there. The food was very good, in line with the prices, but not extraordinary. In fact, our two starters were really good (autumn salad & salmon tartar), the main courses were good but not exceptional (the two beef courses), and the desserts were okish (chocolate mousse and Giandjura parfait): fairly heavy. Service was excellent throughout (other than... More

On a warm summers night, the sun setting over lake Zug, enjoying the hospitality of the informal, but very qualified staff in the Rathauskeller. The cold tomato soup with mozzarella and tartar of calf were amazing. Accompanied by a stunning Chardonnay from the Zum Sternen wine house. A perfect start of the evening. The Tuna steak with mustard vinegret and... More

Right in the middle of Zug's old town the Rathauskeller offers excellent food in a beautiful area, both outside in summer as well as in the historic rooms inside. The menu gives a wide choice at reasonable prices, friendly service. A good place for lunch or dinner, well suited for business occasions.

We celebrated my moms birthday at Rathauskeller. The waitress took the order for eight people without writing it down and three main courses came wrong. No sorrys and we could not eat at the same time. When I told the chef the service I got the most hilarious answer "the waitress has been working for us for a long time,... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. As a restaurant it is our first aim to spoil and delight our guests. Nevertheless sometimes guests may not feel to be treated as they deserve. If something went wrong or not, it is up to us to apologize for any inconvenience that might have been perceived and not to argue. I did... More

In a cosy environment directly in the old town, you can choose some excellent meals very well presented by an efficient service team. The beef steak that I tried was really succulent!

We visited as a group of 12 and enjoyed efficient service during a busy evening. Food was ok, nothing fancy. Expect to pay around $50 USD for sausage, spuds and veg or $80 USD for a steak dinner which is good value for Zug.

The food at the restaurant is very good - lobster soup for starter was excellent and the saucisson with lentils was very good, though even the small portion was more than enough. Service was good and while the ambience lacked a little inside of the old world charm we had seen outside, it was very pleasant. The downside was the... More

Excellent restaurant with efficient and welcoming service. It has an imaginative selection of options, all of which were well prepared and enjoyable. A good wine list.
