We came across this Thai restaurant while strolling along the streets during our vacation. The menu has a large selection food ranging from soup, rice and different meats and seafood - surely will find something that suits. The boss was very friendly and came over to ask if the food is okay. The food preparation did not take too long and the portion was quite big (for Asians). The beef noodle soup was very flavourful and the pork with rice was well marinated. We wished they opened an outlet in out country as well! Pricing wise is good too, not too expensive. Highly recommended! :)

We were recommended by hotel staff next door -quite simply the best Thai food we have ever had outside Thailand. My partner has serious allergies (not trendy type, ones that will actually kill you ) and it was not a problem with dishes adjusted and cooked fresh in front of us. Thai salad was stunning and pad Thai absolutely authentic -this place is a little gem -humble looking place with astonishing food.

We are touring Europe and we love Thai food. The hotel recommended Ruen and it was absolutely brilliant . The staff was so friendly, and the food was delicious. We will definitely visit again when we return to Zurich.

Since I cook everything fresh at home and use herbs from the garden, the experience at Ruen Thai by Suthita was anything but pleasant. The dish I ordered was a mixture of flavor enhancers and preservatives, and the quality was unfortunately FAR FROM the amazingly good reviews this restaurant has received here. Cafeteria food of the worst quality.

Lunch served very quickly, rice was lukewarm. Wine selection practically non-existent. On one side there was a loud group of women speaking French, which didn't exactly improve the atmosphere. All in all disappointing, there are better Asian restaurants nearby. A no go for me.

In addition to the existing restaurant, they have now rented and opened a second restaurant. This new restaurant, on the left, is much prettier and a little more airy. Very good and inexpensive lunch. Very friendly service.
