There are many very good restaurants in Zurich. But for me Le Dezaley is a must. It is big, crowded and noisy. But it serves excellent fondue. Really excellent. Have fun.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. I highly recommend a reservation unless you plan on going there after 9PM. We had fondue at a few other restaurants and this was by far the best. We got the traditional fondue and a beef dish that you cook yourself. The fondue is very filling so we found that 1 was enough... More

Went for the first time to try fondue the other day at Le Dezaley. Le Dezaley delivered a decent fondue from what I can tell. Though, the price was rather high from what you get. 41 CHF for 200 gram of (very good) meat, a a pot of boiling oil, some mediocare bread and some fries that are at best... More

Visited on a Wednesday at 6pm (restaurant opens at 5.30pm). The place seemed very 'Swiss'. I had a cheese fondue for starter (served with bread) but ordered some extra pickles. The waitress needed reminding to bring the pickles over. I had venison escalope served with dumplings, red cabbage and cranberry sauce for main. Food was tasty and good quality though... More

Fondue was very good but at the end of the day, it is just cheese (albeit well cooked cheese) and cubed bread. My gf and I also shared the sirloin deer which was lean and cooked well. The flour dumpling accompaniment wasn't so great but the steak was very nice especially dipped in the fondue. I would recommend this place... More

On my 4 days stay in Zurich, I went there for Fondue TWICE! Le Dezaley serves the best cheese Fondue and meet Fondue ever. I tried their traditional cheese with bread Fondue, meat in oil Fondue, and even the boiled potatoes in cheese fondue. They were flexible to serve us alcohol free cheese fondue and it was great too. The... More

This is supposed to be a restaurand from the Vaud region, this is where I grew up, I've been here twice, is always fully booked of people eating fondue, it smells cheese from the moment you entrance the place, I cannot comment on the fondue as I eat it at home but I had once Zürcher Geschnetzeltes and it was... Returned to one of our favourite places to eat in Zurich, I had the veal "Zurich style" with Rosti and the "other half" had the boar chops. Both meals were excellent, being well cooked and presented. We has a nice bottle of wine to accompany the food and the service was exceptional and friendly, as always. This place is always... More

What dish is characteristic of Switzerland? Think it is Fondue. Dezaley offers both beef and cheese fondue; it is one of the few Zurich restaurants to do that. That lead me to be concerned about a tourist trap. Far from correct. From the language most often overheard, German, I concluded most of the clientele was local. Other than our party,... More

If you are two persons and not extremely hungry, one cheese fondue for two and two beers or some wine will do. After all, even these few things cost a small fortune there but it's worth going. It's not expensive by Swiss standards. The service is impressive (they speak many languages, are always smiling and very very fast). People are... More
