We stopped for a satay. Very nice peanut sauce but the chicken was kind of mealy and tasteless. Wouldn't try again.

Peanut sauce has its roots in many cuisines and this little out-of-the-way take out has the right roots. Best peanut sauce I've had.

We had sate ayam (chicken satay) with a to-die-for peanut sauce, fried onions, kroepoek (shrimp crackers), and ajar (pickled root vegetables). This was my favorite place in Amsterdam. Take out only.

We visited this tiny little takeaway on our food tour to sample chicken satay. You would easy walk past this great little place, but dig it out, the food is great.

We came here on a food tour and were delighted with the spicy tastes and Surinamese street food eats. If you are in Jordaan drop in for a bite

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
