We went for dinner with some friends that were visiting from out of town. The staff were very friendly however the food was absolutly terrible. I had the tuna starter that was rubbery and dripping in hot sauce (presumably to mask the terrible flavour) and...i had the zeewolf (fish) as main course, the fish managed to be over cooked and slimy at the same time. I ordered french fries with my fish and they were limp and dissapointing. I would reccomend for drinks only the bar is nice.More

Nice place to be, good beers for expensive prices, as in a lot of places. However the Fingerfood sucks as they are not able to manage to get it fried in time: cheese fingers are fried too long so cheese is fried outside of the...dough fingers.... fortunately it sticks to the dough outside of itMore

Even we've got a reservation and after waiting for an hour! the waitress told us that the the kitchen "was too busy" and we were not allowed to order food. Poor service, taking reservations over their possibilities. Very disappointed!!

Very good but not breathtaking food, excellent drinks and interesting decor. The service was nice and friendly. Goat cheese salad and ravioli were delicious but mussels were not the best

Beautiful colonial botinical decor, great service, a huge variety of beers and the best Caesar salad we have ever had anywhere in the world.

Really cool restaurant with a lovely vibe (it’s like an Art Deco jungle). The staff were really friendly and accommodating with our children. Great beer selection. My wife & I had pizzas which were amazing. Highly recommended!

We found this gem on our last day in Amsterdam and I would return just for their brunch!! Incredibly tasty and fresh food and very good prices for Amsterdam. The ambiance is really lovely and they have plans everywhere. We loved it!

Without reservation, we were lucky to find a table for lunch. Crowded and cosy. Staff that are quick on the ball, friendly and cheerful. Wonderful sandwich BLTCA for me. Wife enjoyed Lentil Soup and daughter happy with Croque Cubanita. Quick service, reasonably priced. Recommended.

While in Amsterdam, I recommend a wonderful place: Bar Botanique. The friendly service with a smile, the really good food, the warm nice atmosphere, those are the reasons I recommend this lovely place.

I have been here twice in two weeks and the service is just rude! The attitude of the waiters completely spoils the lunch experience! Last time, I thought it is just busy and staff is probably stressed out, today it was not busy but service...was even worse. The waiter throws the plates of food on your table and give the customer the impression that everything is just too much...they rather see you leave then stay for another drink. When you see customers eye rolling at each other due to the bad treatment of staff you know they wont be back! Neither will I! Plenty of other nice places in the hood :)More
