Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Incredible experience. Was recommended by a waiter at another restaurant - we would never have found it. One communal table for about 20, so it's hard to get into. Definitely try to score a reservation as early as possible. I never knew ramen could taste...so good.More

Wow! The tasting menu was absolutely incredible! I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. Make sure you book in advance of your visit as it filled up very quickly!

This restaurant is out of this world! Discovered during Covid periode, I have been lucky enough to have had diner at Men Impossible several times now and it is absolutely the best restaurant in The Netherlands I know. The flavours are so wonderfully UMAMI, it...doesn't get any better than this. Also, the concept, the setting, the restaurant, and her staff is so sympathetic. There is just so much to love about this place. No wonder it has only exeptional 5-star reviews everywhere. The only minus is that they should be opened every day of the week :-) Truly the best experience!More

This place is for everyone, vegan or not. The food is incredible, very friendly service and nice set up to interact with others in the restaurant (or not). It is like a very relaxed Michelin star experience. Love this place!

Incredible 4 course meal with lovely staff. I went alone and it was fine though it was a bit awkward with couples all around me as it's one big sharing table. Don't miss this if you are into authentic Japanese food.

This is possibly one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve personally very eaten at. The food is amazing, the small place atmosphere is lovely, the open kitchen makes it exciting. Genuinely, vegan or not don’t miss out on eating here.

Just excellent. Really good ramen food freshly made in front of you by two charming people. We were visiting our son who works in Amsterdam and came here on his recommendation. Thoroughly great. Will come again - many times!

I was super excited to try this place out and it exceeded my expectations. Easily some of the best ramen I've ever had, and the restaurant itself has a wonderfully chill and intimate atmosphere. I thought I didn't like matcha until I tried the matcha...pudding. Could not be happier to be proven wrong! Will definitely return next time I'm in Amsterdam 💚💚💚More

Menu: The perfect balance of simple and interesting. The restaurant features a four course meal with a cold apitizer, a warm apitizer, ramen, and desert. It was all fantastic! I got the black garlic ramen and it was really high quality. Not as much broth...as I was used to, but no concerns since it was super tasty. The staff: Two very friendly guys served us and you could tell they had a real passion for their food. We even drank sake with one of them! The environment: It's a communal table, which was awesome. We actually made friends with the people across from us and ended up going for drinks after. TLDR: MAKE RESERVATIONS AND GOOOO THIS PLACEMore

Wow! One of the most delicious and memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had. They have a very small menu, which is usually a good sign and we were not disappointed. Both cold and warm starters were so delicate and delicious. Then came the ramen (sauce...based) with hand made noodles and fresh ingredients and it was out of this world. Water and tea are included in the menu as well but other beverages including alcohol are available. If we were staying in Amsterdam longer we’d be back to try all the ramen options.More

Wow, I don't think vegan ramen can get any richer and creamier than this. I'm so happy I got to try this place out. When chatting with the chef, he said that since it's an unconventional take on ramen people weren't as openminded about it...in Japan, so after doing research he decided to come to Amsterdam to realize his ambition. I'm honestly so glad chef Akihiro got to thrive here with his concept! I also think it's amazing he even ran this place by himself in the beginning; it's not a big restaurant but it's still a lot of work and I respect that. My friend and I ordered takoyaki as appetizer and then the black garlic flavor men. To start with the takoyaki, although it was good and interesting to try, I thought it lacked texture inside, in terms of reminiscing normal takoyaki. I'd suggest maybe adding some chunky bits of something in to create the texture in replacement of the octopus in normal takoyaki, because that's what takoyaki is all about; it's not just a dough ball. I'm not complaining though it was still good but I think it could be better. The ramen itself though was AMAZING. The noodles are hand made and had a soft but chewy texture, it was very fresh. The sauce had a super fragrant, roasted, almost smoky garlic flavor, but was super rich and creamy thanks to the soy milk base with addition of tahini and other things, which I find a very interesting combination. What I love also about it is that it's rich without being heavy or greasy. It's just one hell of a recipe that I can tell he spent lots of time and thought in developing to perfection and I really appreciate that! I'd definitely come back and try the other flavors as well as the multi course menu. I'd recommend this place to anyone, even if you're not vegan (I'm not and I loved it). Seriously if I didn't know the ramen was vegan I wouldn't be able to tell at all. Akihiro-san you're doing amazing, I support your cause!More

What a wonderful find - the food was all so delicious and the setting so chilled. The restaurant is very intimate, there is free flowing tea and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We went for a couple of the set menus and shared,...and shared a few different flavoured ramens which were all amazing. The truffle ramen was a real stand-out though and probably one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life - would 100% recommend!More

First of all, I'm not vegan, and was generally not in favor of eating Japanese while in Amsterdam. However, a friend wanted to go, and the reviews were excellent, and the food looked like a nice change from rijkstaffel, so we went. Wow. What a...facinating restaurant. The food was excellent, both with taste and quality, with fresh ingredients presented in both classic and innovative ways. The service was also good, and this part was interesting to me. The kitchen is open and small. It adjoins a long family style table that seats perhaps a dozen. The menu is simple and limited - options of two different starters - tempura (eggplant and zucchini tempura) or katsu (seitan and vegan shrimp katsu). Both starters come with lentil ball tsukune, fried potato mochi, and takoyaki. The ramen course has a choice of 5 different sauces as well as spicy sauce. You can also upsize the noodle portion. There is a simple dessert to follow. The simplicity of the menu, the limited seating, and the self-selection of options makes the service simple, leaving the chef and sous chef ample time to create and serve the dishes. The courses are all unique and the ramen is savory with perfect noodles. Definitely a place I would go again, and would go out of my way to bring vegetarian/vegan friends to.More

The one man band greets, cooks, serves, takes payment, everything, He’s got it down to a fine art and obviously takes pride in his work. I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy the food as didn’t think it could be that exciting, but it was...really great. The starters and main course were all fresh, prepared with care, unusual and tasted lovely. I only have one slight negative which is that I didn’t understand everything, but his English is much better than my Dutch or Japanese!More
