We wanted a nice, somewhat swanky meal out in our neighborhood in Amsterdam and that's exactly what we got. The server's English was considerably better than our nonexistent Dutch but there were some cases where she couldn't find just the right word to describe a...More

We were randomly looking for a nice menu around a friend’s place and found this little gem! Three entrees were varied and wonderful, and excellent wine pairing! Worthy of a repeat visit.

We came in for wine in the afternoon and in the end stayed until 10:30pm. We had meat and cheese platters, bread and olive oil. Good food and great staff!

Friendly welcome followed by consistently good service. Flexibility in choice of dishes. Good, reasonably priced, wine list including an excellent South African Pinotage. A definite choice for an enjoyable evening out.

Just outside the city center and towards the western district of the city you have the Hugo de Grootplein. A nice area where locals come together for food and drinks. At the sunny side in the warmer months you can nicely sit outside, chat, have...More

I've been a few times now to have oysters (one euros each) on a Sunday. It is not a weekly affair, so keep a look out for their next dates. Oysters are shucked when ordered and are layed out with lemon slices and a tangy...More

Razmataz is a small bar/restaurant that our Airbnb host told us about. We enjoyed a local appetizer (fried balls of chopped meat with a mustard dipping sauce) and some delicious artisan cocktails. There are tables in the back with games and a couch, which invites...More

We are a relatively picky bunch and have high standards. Razmataz met and surpassed our expectations! Service was on point - quick and friendly but not overbearing. The food was fresh and local - my parents-in-law are both professional chefs and they said it was...More

Quincy Jones sang a song about it, Iris Molkenboer named her company after it. Razmataz, restaurant, bar and EnSuite (private room) , a chain of warm, cosy areas, all in a living room setting, without any fuss but with lots of love for you as a guest! And it shows. As soon as you walk in the friendly staff welcomes you, as well as the aroma of freshly roasted coffee and the homemade cakes. The restaurant serves you breakfast, lunch and dinner, an a la carte menu and a monthly changing chef's menu from Richard Taylor. The bar of Razmataz is famous as it was one of the first Gin & Tonic bars in Amsterdam. More than 50 types of Gin are served and it specializes in Vermouth in Negroni.
