My buddy from Amsterdam recommended this place for dinner. We decided to give it a shot with hopes of escaping the touristy areas, very happy we did! I ordered the Sateh van varkenshaas met frites en salade and was very impressed. The food did take a bit longer than usual to be prepared but it was totally worth the wait.... More

Excelent service, environment, food, fair price, had the stewed meat specialty and finished with a wonderful apple pie.

In a city of restaurants from any part of the world, it wasn't easy to find a real local Dutch restaurant that wasn't in the "touristy" areas. This place is a real find with great food, reasonable prices, friendly service and a good atmosphere. And it was crowded with real locals instead of tourists. Located in the "Nine Little Streets"... Our hotel desk told us of this place, so we walked over and enjoyed a truly Dutch Dinner. It was very cozy with friendly service and the food was unique and tasty. Things are deep fried a bit, but it was fun to try some traditional Dutch menu items.

Away from the main tourist streets, but conveniently situated, this place offers the real deal in traditional dutch cooking. Simple, honest ingredients, skilfully cooked in an original setting. Excellent value and quality

Come here every year. Small, cosy, serving traditional Dutch food with excellent lamb and fish. Good salad, veg and to die for French fries. We eat here the night we come in. An excellent relaxed way to deal with jet lag. People are great, service is really good, food is very good. It is kind of a neighborhood spot but... More

We were looking for a restaurant to have dinner with my husband and kids and were not certain where to go. We simply walked in front of this restaurant and peeked at the menu exposed outside. A lovely couple living in the neighbourhood strongly suggested us to get in stressing the fact that this was the best restaurant in Amsterdam... More
