For years we have diner here almost every week. The chef/owner Olaf Harmsen cooks with fresh seasonal produxts. The three course diner for 29,50 € is especially very good value for money. We never had a bad experience here. As a starter you get warm...More

Came here on the back of Trip advisor and not disappointed... excellent set 3 course menu for €29 if you wish — otherwise a well balanced a la carte menu. Good prices, decent wine selection with many wines by the glass. Excellent food with great...More

Restaurant is quite small but with a cosy ambience. We had a table overlooking the courtyard which, in the summer, must be lovely to sit and eat in. Our waitress was very charming and service throughout was excellent. We skipped starters as we both had...More

The place has a great vibe and very good food. We really liked the overall experience. They gave us an option to sit right away in the middle, or to wait 2 minutes for a table on the wall, so we waited - really appreciate...More

Outstanding dinner. Service excellent, food really good (pumpkin soup, tuna/veal, cheesecake), wine very good. Hard to fault. Too good to waste on 15-24 year old children!

Description
Some guests call our restaurant 'Little Paris'. We love this friendly nickname. The atmosphere in our restaurant is like a cosy French bistro. Restaurant Harmsen is located in one of the atmospheric and historical streets in the centre of Amsterdam: Utrechtsestraat. Come in for a drink at the bar, sit down and enjoy our mediterranean menu with a touch of the oriental kitchen. We buy our ingredients daily fresh from the food market. Do you love wines? Than you will surely find your favorite wine in our comprehensive wine list. See you soon!
