Simple food, high end prices, service of the staff could be much more better. To crowded with loud people. Nice decoration. But they wait to long to clean empty tables. That should be improved. Food is simple and the prices are high. For a drink on the large terrace it should be fine.

They probably serve the best coffee in whole of Amsterdam, the taste is round, full and yummy. The eggs with salmon are a good portion and were excellent as well . What desperately needs improvement is the service. Waiters are slowly while chatting about, waited ages for the menu and the cheque .

It was that perfect Friday afternoon. Excellent weather and both tourists, locals and the after 6 o'clock businessmen head for the terraces for cocktails and bites. George WPA as usual was very busy but we enjoyed the good wines and food. A very special compliment to Quinten, who was our waiter. In this overcrowded situation it is certainly not easy... More

Large outdoor seating area on an intersection not far west of Museum Square. Nice wine selection, very good food, terrific people watching.

After living in the Netherlands for a few years I've come to expect slightly lower levels of service than other locations, however George's WPA still managed to come below those expectations. Food was ok, service below average e.g. 1. Our pre-booked table was not ready, it was as if they weren't expecting us at all as they glanced around to... More

Had a lovely meal here with my sister and aunt. The restaurant looked really enticing from the street with its cool decor and big heated terrace on an attractive street. We were pleased we chose to stop there as we had a great dining experience. We opted for the set menu, which was reasonably priced with the option of including... More

...for our last night in Amsterdam we’re looking for something special and of course we picked the perfect place…one of the best meals in years...arrived without a reservation and still got a table sitting outside… Merci beaucoup!

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
