ITALIANI STATE ALLA LARGA!!! Italian meals and no one is Italian inside, not even in the kitchen. They make you pay for bread!!!! RIDICULOUS, I have never seen such a thing! They serve you cheese without bread and if you ask for bread you pay € 3,00, can you believe these guys? A cola € 5,80! Overcooked pasta and bad... More

I was hesitant to write this review as our initial waiter, Jop (unsure of spelling) was fantastic. But unfortunately from there it went very down hill. I have worked in hospitality for years and I have NEVER complained online or in person about a bad experience as I understand how testing the industry can be, but my experience here was... More

We were starving after a long day so we ate up gratefully. How ever the fillet steak I had cooked blue was quite chewy sadly! But on the whole it was ok

I expected it to be a lot better, they fitted as many tables as they could into the space they have which makes the restaurant feel cheap. The staff were average, we didn't bother to leave a tip since one of the men working as a waiter acted quite rude when my friend was trying to read of the menu,... More

Excellent fast courteous service and exceptionally well cooked t bone steaks. The cost of the steaks does however make the pizzas look expensive in comparison but very high standards.

It's a small and nice place in the center of Amsterdam. The food is great and the waitress was very gentle.

We were walking about looking for a spot to lunch, and we stopped here - great choice! Staff were very attentive and spoke good English. We had spaghetti bolognaise and lasagne, both dishes were lovely and really hit the spot! Not only that but it was great value too. Would definitely go back!

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
