Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were with a big group which is always tricky, but this was an excellent culinary rollercoaster ride: none of the snobbishness but fantastic tastes, superb waiters (attentative, thoughtful, genuine hosts). Wine was amazing too: will definitely be back; just wow!!

Really great meal here, made better by good service and lots of nice flavours. Wellington was excellent, fish dishes nicely seasoned. Would definitely go back

Certainly this restaurant does NOT live up to the hype surrounding it. The service was good but the food was less than mediocre. The ambiance is fine but the space has awful acoustics. The restaurant aspires to be good but fails.

Good good and service now but I remember it being a very different menu pre Covid. Reasonable value and we enjoyed our meal.

In comparison with other starred restaurants we are useful with ( in France) , in our opinion the Michelin star is an error and should be modified in “bib gourmand” . The dishes have not the sufficient level of work to have a one star...: the flavors are ok but it’ s too simple . Finally the price is too much for the result . An other thing : it’ s too noisy !More

Loves Ron's even if it is a bit pricey but the food is excellent. The service got really terrible when they opened up after COVID. We had some terrible serving staff, who appeared not to have a clue and indifferent to the long waiting time...to get menus, order and be served food. Glad to say that the service has improved a little since then but not enough, the incompetence seems to have gone but the long waiting times haven't. Before COVID the staff were welcoming, friendly and had a cohesiveness. That sadly, never returned after COVID. Seems the waiting staff and bringing the place down. They just seem to be doing a job (and still fairly poorly) rather than doing something they love. With the service the way it is, I go back less often.More

Lovely atmosphere and area in Vondelpark. There’s ann outside anrea when weather is good. Slow drinks but service overall good and not reflective of other reviews. Don’t bother with desserts. Beef Wellington was phenomenal.

The atmosphere is super and a lot of the food is good. Have to say we felt the beef Wellington was overhyped! We were talked out of a couple of sides and if you are sharing this you need more as it’s not a huge...portion. Have to say I have had better. The wine menu is very reasonably priced for decent wine but the champagne was certainly not to our taste. For me the service is not Michelin Star, far from but it feels like they don’t want that star anymore. Overall a good experience but the service as many reviews seem to highlight is lacking but definitely worth a tryMore

We came for the beef wellington after hearing James Acaster rave about it on the Off Menu podcast and I didn’t think it could live up to the hype but the reality was even more delicious than I expected. The king oyster mushroom is something...I’ll be thinking about for a long time, amazing. Loved everything we ordered and the atmosphere and people working there made it a great experience. Would highly recommend.More

Great restaurant! The staff was very professional and helpful. Very thorough regarding my unfortunate allergy towards garlic. I don't mind at all to have few dishes to choose between when I know it is because they have checked what is possible for the chef to...make without garlic. The food was divine! Their spareribs was perfect and came in a wonderful sauce. I could not try their dim sums unfortunately, but they looked great. Nice winelist and a terrific non alcoholic Prosecco. Love it and will return whenever I visit Amsterdam again.More

Another lovely dinner here last week. Great venue, cracking music and atmosphere and really good food. Had the fried onion, frogs legs, lettuce, lobster, oxtail and tomato martini…. All really, really good plates of food. My wife loved the milefeuille dessert. Best soundtrack in a...restaurant I’ve heard in many, many years. We loved it all over again and bumped into the manager of the Ron Blaauw Oriental who was celebrating his birthday and had served us a couple of nights before.More

Everything was excellent, from starters to cocktails, to all the dishes. Great service - attentive, but not overbearing. We ordered a bunch of food and they asked whether we wanted everything all at once or split into two servings (we chose the latter). Food was...somewhere between very good and excellent. Nice ambiance. Highly recommend!More

I can't say otherwise, but the restaurant is located in a nice location, and they have a lovely terrace. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside. The reception was friendly, and one of the ladies guided us to our table....One of my table companions ordered some appetizers and champagne to start the evening. The quantity of oysters did not go as planned, and we received four times the quantity we ordered. There was no great difficulty, and they apologized for misquoting. The wine list that was handed over contained only the more expensive wines; only after we asked if there were any other wines did the waiter apologize and bring another more extensive wine list with more choices of wines, especially in terms of price. After a brief explanation of the menu, we each chose two dishes and took the black-angus to share two times. It was disappointing that you got the two chosen dishes simultaneously, and they didn't tell you that when you ordered. So I had a dish consisting of Coquille and a dish consisting of the original spare ribs. Not very tasty to have to eat this simultaneously. In addition, the Black Angus also came to the table while we were still busy with the first two dishes. Hurry, hurry, and hurry again, busier, busier busiest. The food is okay but certainly not worthy of a star, especially considering the many other creative restaurants with a Michelin star in Amsterdam. The oysters that had gone wrong at the beginning of the evening were just on the bill, so my table companion had to argue again, which is not correct.More
