Moved from Amsterdam to New York some 25 years ago and this is to my opinion by far the best place in town, ideal for catching up with my dearest friends when I am town. Why? Amsterdam is, sorry to say, not a 'culinary Mecca'...More

Very good food, Michelin star quality. The service is informally excellent. It’s clearly not about the decoration and frills but about the food. Visitors are of all ages and with relatively high percentage of local Amsterdam crowd. Le Hollandais has not been swamped by hipsters...More

Small but exquisite restaurant with attentive and excellent service. Reasonably set menu but food was fantastic and definitely flexible as there was someone at next table who needed gluten free and they accommodated this without any fuss. Can sit inside or outside with lovely view...More

We saved this for our last night and we're not disappointed. A lovely meal, table over looking the river, friendly service and a really pleasant unrushed experience The chief was playing the organ on arrival The only thing I'd change would be the wine. Chosen...More
