Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You know that you are in a beloved local business when directly after you enter someone else comes in loudly greeting the owner. My wife and I spent several days in Amsterdamn eating a good number of stroopwaffels, but none were as good or memorable...as the two we had at Lanskroon. With a satisfying crunch to them in addition to the copious filling they were far and away the best whether warm or cold. The salted coffee caramel waffel was our favorite. I wish we had taken a photo to add to this review, but they were so good we did not even think to take one before we had finished eating them. Do not over look this unassuming corner bakery and cafe if you happen to be passing by.More

The Lanskroom Bakery promises to hand-make everything with love! Well, we definitely loved everything that we tried! On a chilly fall day, we stopped in for Hot Chocolate, but we left with Pastries, too. We couldn't resist two slices of Apple Pie, a Cinnamon &...Sugar Beignet, and a rectangular Almond Cookie that reminded me of Lebkuchen. Everything was absolutely delicious! We sure hope that we have the opportunity to visit the Lanskroom Bakery in the future.More

We kept coming back! The staff were so friendly, polite, professional, they gave great recommendations. The food was incredible! I had the Apple-musli flap-turnover and on our first trip I had the honey Stroopwafels. Very authentic. The views from the cafe were perfect, it’s rare...to find a good cafe here that’s actually adjacent to the canals, this delivers! We brought our lunch to take away too. Don’t bother with the queue for the Instagram cookies around the corner. Come here instead, enjoy a coffee and watch the World go by.More

We stopped by after walking around Amsterdam. We knew we wanted something sweet and a coffee. Found it! Seems like lots of tourists were waiting in line for a cookie somewhere down the alley so we were initially confused but quickly figured out that line...was for another place. When we went in the line moved quickly and we tried coffee and two stroop waffles. These are a little different than I’ve had before but so good. We ate both and then got a 6 pack to go. Loved our visit to the sweet little shop. We are still torn which we like better, coffee or honey. Get both.More

Wow--looking at all the baked goods through the window had my mouth watering. It all looked so good. We ordered one of almost everything. Lesson learned: a cookie that's picture perfect can be just that: perfect for the picture. We were very disappointed. Maybe we...just came too late in the day. Or maybe our Tourist Palate is expecting bakery items to be sweet or fluffy or chewy. Or maybe we just chose poorly. The service was very nice. The shop is entirely charming, in a gorgeous part of the city, right next to a bridge in the heart of 9 Gardens. But the food wasn't our cup of tea, so to speak. Sorry.More

We had a lovely breakfast here on a few mornings, really great welcome and lovely freshly squeezed orange juice. Nothing was too much trouble.

This place is recommended online a lot as the best place to get stroopwaffles in Amsterdam. It's a small but very nice place, on a main thoroughfare in a very picturesque area, and the staff is super friendly. I was surprised that the stroopwaffles here...don't have the grid pattern on them that other stroopwaffles do (and that all waffles have in general), no lines on them at all. For some reason it loses a bit of its waffle-ness to me without the grid pattern. I had one of the honey ones, which was good. But I also had other stroopwaffles in Amsterdam, the kind I'm used to with the grid pattern, and they were equally good if not better. So for me, it was good but it wasn't the best stroopwaffle in Amsterdam, and almost didn't feel like a waffle at all. It wasn't worth the special visit I made to the restaurant, though like I said the area itself is worth a visit.More

A Dutch friend suggested I go here for the best stroopwaffle. She was right. BTW around the corner people were lining up to get cookies. A LONG line. Not worth it a friend let me try theirs. Better to get the stroopwaffle here.

The first time I visited this store was in 1980. 40 years later and they still use the same recipes. Even more special considering that they changed ownership. For people who want to have a genuine local experience and not a tourist trap. Real stroopwafels...here instead of unexisting extremely expensive ones which are concocted for touristsMore

Lovely and cosy place. The stroopwafels were delicious and the staff was very polite (2 young girls). The place is not very big hence there is a limited seating area. Make sure you have cash on you as they don't accept cards.
