Our experience here was amazing! Magda was especially a FANTASTIC host! Knowledgeable, attentive and kind; excellent service all around from all staff. Magda pretty much picked out all of our meals lol and they were a big hit! We ordered the Tomahawk, the Wagyu 😍 the Château Belgrave bottle of wine and some fries, all soooo tasty! I then indulged in a tasty ice cream and whipped cream dessert, and a good ole limoncello.
We will be back! Much love from a couple of Londoners 🇬🇧

Myself and my girlfriend booked a table here for my birthday, although very quiet to begin with, it soon filled up and the atmosphere brightened. The food was very very good, i think this was the best t-bone steak i have had and my girlfriend ordered the tenderloin which was sublime. We opted for garlic bread and caprese for starters which came quickly. For dessert we had the waffles which tasted divine. Wpuld definitely eat here again. My favourite steakhouse in Amsterdam. Great service.

We were so looking forward to this meal all day. From the minute we got to the door we should have turned back as the door as held closed by a tea towel.
Cocktails were not nicely creamy as they should be.
The chicken burner was made from a frozen patty, got about 20 chips - no exaggeration. Steak meat quality was not as advertised.
The waitresses seemed uninterested in their jobs, one of them causing a long queue in the toilet from being in there herself. Toilets were not clean.
It was one of those meals you talk about shocked for the day..

We were visiting Amsterdam during the Covid restrictions where restaurants were made to close by 5.00pm, so we booked Day’s StoneGrill 1870 for 3.30pm on our first day to ensure we had a table & it was close to our hotel, the Kimpton De Witt. The restaurant was quiet, understandably, because of these restrictions, but this did not reflect on the reception & service we received. The staff were attentive and in the 90 minutes we had before the enforced early closure, our group of 4 managed to get through 3 courses including a lovely tomato soup, Caprese salad, moist & tasty burgers, chicken satay & desserts such as cheese cake & dame blanche. The atmosphere was obviously a little quiet but our overall impression was very good & we would look to return when we revisit Amsterdam in the future. 5 star hearty recommendation.

I’ve never been to a restaurant before where I myself am the chef but I have to say it was quite the experience. My partner ordered the T bone steak and I ordered the Tuna, both of which were cooked by ourselves on a hot stone. The quality of the meat and the price of it made no sense. Outstanding meat for an outstanding price. Oh and I forgot to mention we had two courses and three rounds of drinks within an hour but didn’t feel rushed. Highly would recommend here: great food, great service, great price.

The food was delicious, the service was quick, pleasant and really friendly. I had the T-bone steak which was served on a stone grill and my partner the 5 star burger. I have to the best thing was the fact that I was the one who grilled the steak.

Lovely steak and great service. Steak is cooked on a stone grill at your table and tastes delicious! We had the surf and turf and t bone steak, both massive. Make sure you book because it gets busy

best steak in town. they made me have the best dinner ever. the dteak was served on the table with loads of different homemaid sauces. the stone was so hot that my food stayed hot while talking to my friends which made it more special. to be honest I have never tried this before but it was defined a great experience that i would recommend to anyone eho wants to have steak. the atmosphere was very nice and the lights here were so cool. in the back was for a private talk which was very cute to sit in the benches. all by all i would recommnend this place to anyone!!!!🥰🤙🏻

Bread for the Starter was lovely, nice and warm. Mains was disappointing on the Steak side. We asked if it could be cooked by the kitchen to avoid having to cook it ourselves but this was ignored and when we questioned this as the main arrived, we were told it was ‘quicker’ for us to cook it ourselves. This seems like a bad gimmick when the point in eating out is to avoid cooking. The meat has to sit on the hot stone and is therefore constantly cooking whilst you’re trying to heat it. The ribs we had were very good though, plenty of meat on them. The fries are what look like basic McCain's wedges which is a bit disappointing.

First of all thank you for your visit at our restaurant. However not everything is correct what you wrote. Yes we did a mistake with the steak, but we gave you the option to do it in the kitchen, but you didn’t want it anymore. I came personally to you and asked if you want an extra plate so it will not be over cooked and you told me there is no need for it. We asked you every course if everything is alright and you didn’t mention anything. We ask you to make you happy the end of the day and to make it better if there is improve at that time. We regret you didn’t enjoyed the whole experience, but it’s still a Stonegrill place. We are known of our concept, hospitality and quality of the food. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed the ribs. The fries is one of the more expensive once that you can get in the market and it’s not McCain :)

This restaurant is no 11 in Amsterdam on TA. What happened there? The angus steak was fine and tasty, but sirred too long on the hot plate so you have to eat it in a rush. And what about beef that needs to rest? Fries on the menu is not worthy of a good restaurant, it is fast food. The peppersauce is a mere two tablespoons and the mayo is malplaced. The salad is ridicilously boring. This restaurant should be soooo much longer down the list, it is embarassing. The service consists of 20 year old girls that have no idea what service is and have been taught to say «enjoy» to everything, with an empty look. Low standards all the way.

Staff were so friendly and let us sit down early. The restaurant is cosy and romantic. The food was quick to come and staff advised on how to cook our steaks which were beautiful.
Tea or coffee were offered on the house and we had a lovely evening! 10/10!!

I visited with my wife on a Saturday evening, of course with reservation. The reservation was easy to do through their internet site.
The place is very central, near the main train station of Amsterdam. If you come with the bus or train, you have to walk about 5 minutes from the station. If you come with the car then you can park at the central station underground parking lot. It is however expensive.
We got our table on time. The restaurant is not so big, the tables are very small and the air inside very bad. The light is low so you don't really see everything.
The service is good, the menu has what to expect from a steak house except for corn or sweet potato fries. The sauce sortiment was very poor as well. The steak variety however was good. The prices fair. The meat quality very good.
So, you get your meat raw or rare and you can grill it on the hot stone as you wish it.
The portions are good so we didn't manage everything.
To sum up this kind of concept in a qualitative environment would be perfect. Keep the meat quality and the stones, add some sauces, sweet potato fries and corn and change the inside with bigger tables, better light and better air quality. Then you have the best place in the town.
Am i going to visit again? Not sure to be honest but possible. I was not disappointed but not thrilled either.

Experienced great steaks on the hot stone - rib eye and black angus were very good, grilled on the hot stone to our preference.
The waiter was very professional and kind.
